It would be a mistake to overemphasize any comparison between the sound of Marc Carroll to that of The Beatles, The Byrds or The Beach Boys. This is unabashed 90's reminiscent power pop. But the unmistakable Rickenbacker guitars, the multiple part harmonies combined with pop, often folksy chord progressions do indeed ring a bell. If you're looking for tried and true pop virtues with a current sound, try Marc Carroll!
