But Richard H. Miller has shown us the inner-workings of the vampire mind. Who knew just how stressful a vampire lifestyle can be? Who knew these creatures undergo a near-hangover experience after their mandatory monthly feeds? But they aren't exactly creatures. Rather, they are former humans with the vampire affliction. Darius, Luke and Dimitri show us the varying degrees to which they accept their vampire fates. We observe its influence as each interacts in different measure with the humans who enter his world.
This is a fun read that I can easily see becoming a cult-classic. Choose your favourite character and run with it. Do you like documentaries and falling in love? Pick Darius. Do you like a good time? Pick Luke. Do you acknowledge your evil leanings? Pick Dimitri. I can say that, after reading All You Can Eat, I will never look at a cashew the same way again (bar scene, downtown Spokane).
Bring on the sequel!
