I have taken 60mg Allegra for years by prescription. It's really hard to find this dose in the stores. When I found it on Amazon and learned I got a discount for setting up auto-fill I was thrilled. For me the 60mg twice a day works far better than the 180mg every 24 hours. Plus I don't get a backache. Something that is associated with the 24 hour dose.
Ordering could not be easier,I get an email a few days before the pills are sent that allows me to make adjustments to my order. If I want to repeat the standard order I do nothing and my month's worth of pills arrive in a few days. I only wish Allegra offered the 60mg dose in a bottle of 60 pills instead of 5 boxes of the blister packs. Lets face it you are suppose to take 1 every 12 hours and I take it everyday. That's a lot of wasted time fighting my way into those blister packs. ALLEGRA OTC TABS 60 MG 12 HR Size: 12

As someone who suffers from severe environmental allergies (ragweed, mold, and pretty much everything outdoors), this product is perfect. It does not make me drowsy and it does the job. I was a long-time Claritin user, but after seven years of it, my body became immune to it. Enter Allegra: just as good and a great Amazon deal!

Ok, so let it be understood that not all medicines work the same for everyone. So I fully understand that my experience may be unique. I suffer from allergies almost all year long. I take an allergy medication every day (OTC). I've been using Zyrtec (Cetirizine) for a few years now after having little success with Claritin (Loratadine). My doctor recommended trying to switch to something else so that I don't get too "used to" Zyrtec and it not be as effective (that's my interpretation, that's not his exact words).

So I did. I ordered Allegra. It didn't work. Not even kind of. It didn't provide any form of relief. I even tried it for a few days, followed the instructions (empty stomach, no juice, etc. Nothing. So I switched back and got immediate relief. Maybe it's due to my body trying to cope with a different substance. Maybe I should have given it a week or month. But after so few days of such joy and comfort and I just wanted relief.

Amazon is great, the price was fantastic, the shipping was quick. I have family members that take Allegra and love it. I figured I could provide insight for the small percentage of us that for whom it doesn't work.

I am still o.k. with my purchase. But the product is not the Allegra name brand as in the photo. It is the CVS Allegra generic brand.

I had been taking Claritin since I was 13 years old. I am now 28. At some point it stopped being as effective as it once was. Probably around 5 years ago. But without it my allergies are literally unbearable. Constant, I mean CONSTANT runny nose, ridiculous amounts of sneezing, itchy and watery eyes. The constant nose running is the worst part, with the sneezing not being far behind. I'm blowing my nose every couple minutes, and sneezing to the point where I want to rip my face off. Claritin helped with the sneezing and the eyes, but the runny nose went from literally non-stop to almost literally non-stop. Not enough of an improvement. I go through about 10 tissues a day with Claritin, and that would be more if I didn't mind people watching/hearing me blow my nose all day.

Again, as a teen and in my early 20's Claritin brought full or near full relief. I decided to try something else. I decided to try Allegra first because Zyrtec can make you drowsy. My shift starts at 4am so drowsy doesn't work for me. Fortunately, Allegra works for me. It brings me the relief I used to get from Claritin. My nose stops running. The sneezing comes down to a normal person's output. My eyes are relieved slightly better than Claritin, which brought plenty relief, so a lot better there overall.

I plan on trying a generic brand of this effective ingredient to save money, but one way or another, Allegra itself gets 5 stars from me, easily.

allergies have not been kind to me this year. my predominant symptom was itchy eyes, which eventually manifested as "oh, what an interesting shade of eye shadow" red, shortly followed by "help! i can't open my eyes/RIP THEM OUT!! PLEASE JUST RIP THEM OUT I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!!!", concluding with "are your eyelids...peeling?". yes, yes they were. after years of use, something in my body chemistry changed so that for some reason zyrtec just wasn't working for me anymore. on top of that, it gave me moderate to severe narcoplepsy. we're talking fell asleep sitting up in the middle of a meeting knock-out, which most people were actually ok with cause it meant they didn't have to look at my gross, puffy eyes anymore.

allegra is like batman to my allergies. it kicks their butt, doesn't make me sleepy, has a deep sexy voice, and is probably a billionaire. literally all of my symptoms have disappeared. it cuts out at 24 hours sharp - i definitely notice when i need to take it again - but once taken it starts working within 20-30 minutes. the only down side is that it dries me out quite a bit. if i don't take a break every so often and just suffer through a day with allergies to let my nasal passages recover from the over-drying i'll get bloody noses. small price to pay, in my opinion.

what are you waiting for? show those allergies who's boss!
