There are quite a number of free samplers by Allegro both classical and otherwise. They're uniformly enjoyable. Searching Amazon mp3 for "Allegro Sampler" turned up 20 more albums a lot like this one.

I noticed something with this one though. The last track by David Bowie's amazing pianist Mike Garson, a solo instrumental of Bowie's "Let's Dance", abruptly truncates at 2:09 into the song. It's a little disconcerting when the cloud playlist suddenly bursts into "Rain" by the Beatles or something else completely different right in the middle of the song. The full version of the recording is included in his album The Bowie Variations.

That said, if you like Garson's piano play here, I also recommend his Admiration with Stanley Clarke and Jimmy Paxson as "Los Gatos". That tip of the hat to some of his favorite artists led me to discover the music of Egberto Gismonti on Rarum Box Set 2: Selected Recordings IX - XX.

Of course, the obvious has been stated - its free. What should be examined or considered, is how complimentary this music can be to your summer reading time. I enjoy this cd while reading books on my Kindle. You readers out there know what I'm talking about - how you pair particular book styles with music? Well this is one that is delightful for your lighter reading materials, or pleasant fiction novels.

It's definitely worth a try. All that's needed is a great glass of wine, your hammock, or summer reading bench... and well, you are there.

Relaxful bliss is calling.... go ahead, it's okay to answer. :)

This was a great addition to the seasonal allegro sampler release family. Strawberry Hill has an infectious bass line that draws you in. As mentioned by another poster, I like have it on as background music when working around the house. It is relaxing and the music is very well done. There's a track driven by some good jazz guitar work. A nice medley for anyone's media center collection.
