After careful reading of the previous reviews, I thought "
I don't need anything fancy, just functional." Functional for what?
It is so flimsy that the bowl wiggles when adding water.
When the birds lite on the edge it sags. I'm not talking about eagles here.
If I could send it back, it would already be shipped. Gone to the dumpster instead.
Don't bother ordering this one. Just fill a paper bowl with water and leave it out.

I am extremely disatisified with the product. Even with 2o lbs. of kitty litter in the base , the bird bath is unstable and very wobbley. The bowl is also very flimsey which has caused the birds to be afraid of it. I tried moving it to more remote locations in the yard hoping that would solve the problem but unfortunately, it didn't.

This is a well constructed unit but there were a few things that needed to be worked through.
It comes in two pieces...base/pedestal and bowl. The base/pedestal is HOLLOW so you will need to fill it with sand or small rocks or poured concrete...otherwise this is a "kite." The bowl goes over the opening and secures using a screw...the holes mostly line up with some work. Once weighted and assembled, it looks very much like white plastic. I painted mine with Krylon spray paint...just remember to lightly sand all the surfaces and primer to get a nice adherence.

I would recommend and buy again, just be aware you have to put some effort into it.

I've had the same birdbaths in and around my flower garden area for years. <<<YEARS. A hailstorm busted one of them, and I didn't think I'd find another, but It's the exact same kind, and I highly, highly recommend this company, and Amazon (they're my new "shopping center").

This Bird Bath is poorly designed and does not function as expected. Because of the small foundation it will not stand steady or at all in the yard or other solid surfaces. It is unstable when filled with water and in my case needed three holes in the foundation to try and stabilize it for use. Even this proved unsatisfactory and I consider the purchase a loss and a wasted acquisition.

The bird bath is very attractive and was priced right but we found it was not sturdy enough for the large birds we have in our yard. I would recommend it for decor more than as an actual bird bath. The bottom is very sturdy as you can fill it with gravel but the bowl was rather tippy. We live in a desert and water attracts a variety of birds - most of which seem larger than we had when we lived along the west coast.

I live in Southern Arizona, and the long hot summer days tend to soften the plastic. If there's more than about 1/2" of water in it when the temps near 100º, it will sag to one side. it returns to its normal shape when cooled off, but had I known the basin was so weak, I'd have chosen a different one

We have a wide variety of birds that come to the bath, the only thing that I have a problem with is that it is hard to keep the green slime off it. What to clean it with that will not bother the birds
