As someone else mentioned it is a pleasant story with pleasant people. Sometimes the reasoning behind the actions taken seems forced to create conflict or resolve it, like the keeping of vital information from another character for no real good reason, or the sudden...resolution between the main antagonist and the main protagonist, also the resolution between the secondary antagonist and the main protagonist. It just felt too easy. The other thing was that in a world of magic like the Third Realm it seems odd that there was not much that could be done to try and thwart the evil doers before the big problems caused at the end of the book.
My favorite character was Bast He seemed the most likeable, the funniest, and all around was a great friend to Monroe. I also think Sasha's best friend, Mel, was awesome. I loved the supporting characters in this story. They really knew how to be of the greatest help to their main characters.
The relationship that grows from Monroe entering Sasha's dreams is a fairy tale come true. Then he must convince Sasha he is real and can fulfill all her dreams. As their connection grows, evil forces from his world work against them.
It was delightful to watch Sasha grow from being shy and wary, to a woman who knows what she wants and is not afraid to go after it. And who can resist a brooding, handsome hero like Monroe? His steadfast belief in what he and Sasha can share is unwavering. An enchanting fantasy.
