Molded connectors include a male and female end, joined by a loop of 16 gauge primary wire which may be cut to length. Useful for switch and gauge panels or accessories that are disconnected frequently.

Right out of the package you can not get the plugs to seat properly without a tremendous amount of force. Good luck when you try to get them apart. I would think that after about 100 plug/unplug cycles, they may start to loosen up as to where you can use it. Right out of the package this is not a quick connect/disconnect plug, but it might be after a day of plugging and unplugging. If you bought this and are going to install it in a hard-to-reach area where you need a quick and easy disconnect, be sure to take the time to break this in.
In short though, avoid this plug connector and buy something better. This was made to the lowest standard of quality that Allstar Performance would accept, I do not accept this level of quality and it will be returned. This one is not worth your time and aggravation.
This product seems better for projects that you plan to disconnect often as it just feels easier. The other brand feels more like something you'd plan to leave on for longer times or permanent installation as its a bit more difficult to grip the connector to remove.
All in all both are Very good products and I'd purchase again if I need more.
I ordered this along with a cheaper version ( Hopkins 47965 2-Pole Flat Extension - 1/3 the price) thinking that if the cheaper one didn't work, this one would. Instead, this is the one that was too tight to be of any use.
I tried connecting and disconnecting 4 times. Hard to connect but even worse, took about 3 minutes to work apart (and I have strong hands).
Six dollars is a lot to pay for a simple 2 pin connector that "might" work.
I would recommend the cheaper Hopkins 47965 2-Pole Flat Extension but I see others have reported similar problems with them.
These admittedly are a pretty tight connection and fairly tough to fully seat. I would imagine that if you were to plug and unplug these often they would loosen up in time making them easier to fully seat and unplug. For my application I just need them to be able to be disconnected in the even I need to replace an electrical part. For that a tight connection isn't an issue at all.
