So I received the tool and bought my Craftsman feeler gauge from my local Sears. Opened the valve cover and start working. My first valve adjustment job didn't went so smooth. I figured having this valve adjustment tool would save me some time and a lot of hassles, but it wasn't. My tool said 10mm on it's package and also marked 10mm on it's body. It is in fact a 12mm in my case. It was useless and fortunately I have my ordinary screwdriver and wrench to finish the job. Put the valve cover back and cleaned my hands.
I was quite surprised about this because it received so many five stars. Amazon gave me a refund without actually returning the tool which save me a trip to the post office. not bad
Check the size before you open your valve cover and check out the pictures that I have uploaded in the Gallery. Thank you for reading
and a screwdriver successfully. Until I got the Honda S2000, there is just no way to fit in a 10mm wrench
on the jamb nut. This tool fits the bill perfectly, saving a lot of time and frustration.
If I had one improvement to make, it would be to change the screwdriver handle from a straight handle to
a "T" handle. That way you have more precision in the angular adjustment, as each adjustment step is
like 5 degrees for best accuracy.
On my Honda Accord - this was a HUGE PAIN! The exhaust valves were pretty straightforward, no real obstructions. But for the intake valves - fuel rails and other stuff was in the way, so using a standard wrench was a tremendous pain and really time consuming. Without this tool, it's really easy to move the tappet screws and be off by just a bit, and have to re-do the valve. This eliminates most error.
Really, if you're going to do your own valve clearance adjustments, do yourself a BIG BIG favor and spend the 14$ and get one of these. You'll cut your job time in half.
Lastly, I had seen a few one star reviews saying they got a 12mm tool. I can't speak to these individuals, it may well be true. 12mm tools do exist for valve adjustments (but are made by different companies it seems, or at least rebranded). Right when this arrived, I tested it on a 10mm bolt, and it fit perfectly. So, what I got was 100% a 10mm tool.
However, I do have one small complaint. The screw head is blocked from the user's view for about 180-degrees, as the tube connecting the hex end to the handle is semi-circular. When I was doing my valve adjustment, there were a couple of valves that needed to be adjusted blind due to space limitations. This is only a minor complain because the tool still makes the adjustments very easy to perform even if the user can't see what they're doing, but it would have been nice if I had been able to get a view of the screw head from any angle. Perhaps a better design would be to have a number of small-diameter rods connecting the hex end to the handle rather than a semicircular tube. Then a view of the screw could be maintained at all times while the tool would maintain its functionality.
Overall, my one complaint is very minor. This tool saved me a load of time and many headaches. It was well worth the investment.

Works well but the intake was a bit clumsy to do, but practice makes perfect. Car runs great and nice and quiet.Published 1 month ago by ZootCapri101
Used it on a 06 Honda Odyssey. Worked great. Easier than a wrench and screwdriver.Published 1 month ago by robert elton jones
Although the listing and the package as well as the stamp on the side of the tool show it to be for a 10mm, it will not fit a 10mm nut. It was a waste of money. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Justaguy
