About Allyson McQuinn
Allyson McQuinn, DHHP, DMH, JAOH is a Doctor of Natural Medicine treating patients internationally by phone and Skype while living in both Mexico and Canada. McQuinn has written over a dozen books, with a goodly number of them published, but the one that she's most known for is her first, "The Path To Cure; The Whole Art of Healing" chronicling her son's exodus from the Autism Spectrum using the system of medicine that she now practices.
Her series of "Natural Home Pharmacy" books are bestsellers worldwide helping others to safely treat themselves and their families using natural remedies. McQuinn is a dynamic and informative writer as she offers not just the best practices in wholistic medicine to help other effect cures at home, without causing an ounce of harm, but she also weaves her own experiential and anecdotal knowledge with regards to her 20 years as a parent and researcher in the field of wholistic medicine.
Among her books, you'll also find that McQuinn has captured a journal of her own raw milk cleanse and also wrote a novel about a young girl's deep exploration into romantic love. Also in the annals of her burgeoning library is her post graduate research regarding the discharge of rage and how that allows for true orgastic potency in the clinical setting for fellow Physicians. She's also written two books of poetry with another one on the way! That is just how versatile an author she is and she is well on her way to discovering other aspects of her muse to help benefit human-kind.
In her spare time, Allyson is also an avid outdoors woman. She is in the throes of researching permaculture, building her own tiny home on her 2 acre farm in the wild hills of New Brunswick as well as also taking time to travel the world. Ally can be found hiking and biking just about any terrain, kayaking, reading, painting and camping on a soft futon as her 50 year old bones don't appreciate the cold, hard ground anymore. McQuinn shares her medical practice with her husband, Jeff Korentayer where they help their patients reach the heights of health and emotional well-being.
Here's what her patients have to say about working with her and her husband:
"It is difficult to explain the process of self discovery. All lies you once told yourself, and that were told to you, get chipped away one by one until you are left standing in your own truth. A truth that cannot be shifted by anything or anyone. It's quiet, internal. As was once put to me so well....you own your own real estate after this process and nobody can mess with it. I feel happy, alive, able to express and feel and experience incredible joy and passion for my own life. I am also am much more empathetic to others as I no longer take on their woes. Heilkunst has been a 8 yr. journey for me, now for my beloved soulmate and daughter. Totally worth the ride you take. Thank you Ally and Jeff!" ~ Stephanie Moine
"How do you thank someone who has been the catalyst for the discovery of your true self. Where do you find the words to tell someone that you feel God himself brought the two of you together. I doubt the correct words exist, but I am confident in a connection of souls that expresses it perfectly. I have just finished my Heilkunst treatment. I feel like I have been shot from a cannon into a new world that I didn't even know existed. It's a stunning world of joy and beauty that is beyond description. My health is perfect and I am finally content to be on the true path that was intended for me. There is still much to learn, but my heart is open and I go forward in peace and the faith that this is my true journey. No words can possibly be enough. Ever." ~ Andrea Cyr

With the maxim, "Physician Heal Thyself," McQuinn goes on a thorough, intimate journey to suss out the root cause of her ills. As a result of keeping daily journals of her perilous journey for her sole (soul) illumination, later, she decided that her ruminations might be of benefit to other readers. This book is for anyone who's going, or gone, through a serious health issue and are struggling to come to terms with the meaning of their own suffering and how to wholly experience the art of truly falling apart in order to rebuild from a place of knowledge instead of sacrifice. This is McQuinn's 13th book in health and wellness.
Here's a review describing the essence of "The Art of Falling Apart; Ruminations From A Baptism By Fire:"
"This is your most intimate, and illuminating, piece of work so far- it was a baptism by fire for sure!
You drew me into your inner world-taking me through the dark recesses of our primal fears, self-doubt, and the dying away of the false ego, to emerge, renewed and more wholly in relationship, with your Self and your life. It’s heartfelt, terrifying, beautiful, and inspiring.
Often practitioners are placed on a pedestal (or we falsely place ourselves on one). Because our work is to guide others towards ousting the false ego, resolving trauma and aiding in their trajectory towards claiming the essential self- we must, to a degree, be able to do this ourselves. Therefore, it is humbling when find that we still have a lot of personal work to do, and I think sometimes, we feel shame when we falter. We need to confront that fear of revealing, that we too, are still in a process of becoming. It is a vulnerable position, and yet, it is the very thing that is necessary.
With this book you have illustrated the darkest part of our unfoldment, where we enter into the recesses of our fears and assume, with full consciousness, who we are meant to be. Many of us turn away at this point, because it requires that we acknowledge, and act, on our truth. This is not easy, requiring that we stay with the chaos, and have faith, surrendering, and allowing, the facade to burn away. It can be wholly life-altering if we have built our relationships, and our lives, on who we thought we were (or felt we needed to be). It’s seemingly easier to suppress symptoms and dis-ease, disassociate from our truth, and stay in our delusions, that is, until we are faced with our ultimatum. You have illustrated this so beautifully. I felt your fear, your brokenness, your self-doubt, your bravery.
Then you take us into the warm embrace of self-care, and the traversing of this passage, with tenderness and self-love. This is one of the toughest things for most of us to do. “What? Am I actually going to ask for, and do, what I need to get well? What about XYZ? I can’t.” Your false ego was flat-lined, and you did. I felt like I was there with you, building up your relationship with your self, acknowledging and acting on your desires. It was tender at first, and then I could feel your energy build. I felt the enthusiasm as your love function became activated, and celebrated, when you found yourself with your kin, wholly in love.
Your book felt like an intimate, resonant conversation; these are the conversations that I crave. It could only have been achieved if you allowed yourself to truly be seen, and to speak, from your heart, and from your truth. It is a remedy, truly, for those that are still pursuing this passage.
This is the proven premise in "Unfolding The Essential Self; From Rage To Orgastic Potency" as the author takes you into the intimate reaches of her day in Clinic illustrating what is actually consistently realizable when principles of medicine and cognitive therapeutics are applied. McQuinn has tapped into the works of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, Dr. Wilhelm Reich, Rudolf Steiner, Havelock Ellis, D.H. Lawrence, Ida Craddock and Dr. Bunker-Stockham in order to source consistent therapeutics to leverage rage, converting it's functional nature into self-love and orgastic potency.
If you're searching for a grounded, medical art anchored in the sound principles of nature, beyond homeopathy and into the stunning realm of Heilkunst where all pursuits of health married to your inspiration is completely threaded through the sexual function. This is not a high-pitched scream of the intellect, neurotically living out of the past or projected into the future, it is an illustration of how you can leverage your true feelings for the purpose of your ordained evolution.
You will have access to the kingdom of tried and true remedies, essential oils, trace elements, homeopathic remedies, salves, supplements and whole foods that a Natural Doc has used with her own family for over the last 20 years. These are also the same remedies that she recommends regularly to her international patients.

However, there is a way to buy back your beloved pet’s liberty and freedom. Why is this important? This is the book that you hold in your hands, or perhaps are looking at our your screen., that will help you to get there. This Natural Home Pharmacy book will enable you to start to look after your dog, or cat, with knowledge through natural approaches like a natural therapist with years of experience. Both humans and animals want to own their own health and maintaining it outright is our job as ethical humans. Some more chronic issues can be tricky, in which case, we can give you a leg up with more advanced treatment called Heilkunst Medicine, a whole art and science for addressing chronic disease. Here’s what some folks are saying about the success with this natural approach for their pet:
"I laugh at the people who say this is quackery and people just mentally believe it works. I have had two cats, one 2 decades ago and another now which, just last month, the vet said all the organs were shutting down and the cat should be put down. I gave the cat Chelidonium and Bryonia, the cat recovered within hours, back to normal within two days. The cat from 2 decades ago lived another 10 yrs. The cats had NO idea I gave them homeopathy lol HOMEOPATHY WORKS!" ~ Karen H
“Our Bernadoodle, being half herding dog, seemed to always be on hyper-alert. He is barking much less, and his constant ear scratching is significantly reduced. It is almost like the background noise has calmed down. He is much more relaxed, and I believe, happier for it.” ~ KD
“A very important aspect of this book is the discussion on how our own mental and physical state affects our pet’s health. We have all witnessed a pet’s ability to empathize. My rather large English Bull Terrier was famous for cuddling up (preferably on your lap) when a family member was upset. But what we need to understand is that their response to our well being goes beyond transitory sympathy. The actual depth to which they take on our issues is truly astonishing, potentially leading to their failing health, and must be addressed if we are to give our pets the best opportunity for health and vitality.”
Catherine J. M. Diodati, B.A., M.A., R.M.P.
Let us first look at some points around the natural development of a child. For the moment, I would like you to go back to the time when your child or children were very young, and were just starting to reach certain milestones, like crawling or babbling. Do you recall when they first pulled themselves up to a standing position? What about when they sat for the very first time? Do you remember when they took those first steps by themselves, and the look on their face when they did?
You probably witnessed, as I did, their pure wonder and self-accomplishment radiating from the inside out. It was all over their face. Pride in oneself is an amazing thing. It’s ownership of a job well-done. “Mom, Dad, look at me! I did it!” Hopefully, we didn’t miss it as we ran from room to room removing all the low hanging lamps, vases, and costly collectibles." Allyson McQuinn, The author
If you're looking for further justification for taking the plunge into self-education, world schooling or unschooling, look no further. You hold in your hands a book that will satisfy your need for a history of education, a rich philosophy, a take on health as it pertains to self-education and how you're in fact laying the bricks for autonomy and even human freedom for your child.
"By picking up this book, you are helping to think beyond a model of indoctrination that operates against the individual, one which actively works against our mental health, sense of self and social justice, which in turn, manages to completely extinguish the learner's natural love of learning. By adapting the concepts of self education you are working against the narrow, ageist, classist, ableist, sexist and racist version of ‘education’ that the current system and world at large supports. By picking up this book, you are starting to transform your own ideas surrounding the social construct we call “education” and start to focus on the value of “learning” instead." ~ Lainie Liberti
“Ally, I am going through it all several times and each time I hear myself saying "Yes!" to SO much here; it’s blowing my mind and satisfying something so fundamental within me that it's like reaching the summit of a sheer rock face cliff climb when you get to put two feet on the ground and REALLY feel them there! Planted. Solid ground under my feet; and damn it feels good!” ~ Lesley Breen, DMH, DynPh, Live & Layered Blood Cell Microscopy, MEd.
"I'm enjoying this book immensely. Thank you for sending it my way. And for reminding me that keeping my kids home with me and out of the school system and IN the world is an act of love, a tending and a caring for, not a test or challenge or egoic kind of practice.
I love how you're connecting disease with not only compulsory learning, but the waning and stifling of those organic questions, the questions that become our dreams, really, our ambitions. I've read a lot of deschooling/unschooling texts and have never (I don't think) seen that blatant connection. I believe it.
However, when I came to homeopathic medicine, I was just trying to find a way to resolve some of his minor issues like crying incessantly, reflux, and constipation. It was not in my nature to use drugs of any kind as I realized that these chemical cocktails would only cause my baby harm. I’m so very thrilled to this day that I followed my instincts.
A first aid course, a four year medical program, and a post graduate study later, and homeopathic Heilkunst Medicine has become my life. I love giving young families all over the world, a leg up with regards to how to treat their babies and toddlers. Their kids send me their art-filled pictures in the mail. The phone, Skype, and Facetime are the daily tools of my trade.
In these pages, you will find the latest, the most natural, modern approach to treating your first aid issues at home for your own babes. My goal is to provide you with the best resources, not only within these pages, but also the full culmination of 20 years of accumulated research. Whether your scope is to address your child’s immediate suffering or to launch your own foray into natural medicine, we can provide you with endless resources, whether blogs, books, documentaries, or articles on questions with regards to vaccines and homeopathic immunization. As a result of my own son’s exodus from the autistic spectrum, we love to support others who are researching what are the most resonant and viable options for protecting their children from harmful childhood illnesses.
We serve many families in the treatment of chronic illness, which is way too voluminous a topic to cover in this book. Although we’re so happy to answer your questions on the subject, we’ll be sticking to one-off acute, self-limiting first aid, prescribing for your children’s more minor issues in this particular rendering.
This book is invaluable to for the lay person to simply address menstrual, fertility, pregnancy, delivery, breast-feeding and menopausal issues safely and easily at home. Your family and friends will start thinking that you've tapped into a pot of gold when you easily help them to resolve their ills with your newfound knowledge. The Natural Home Pharmacy For Women is an invaluable tool enabling you to wholly embody nature's innate wisdom for curing and healing.
"Allyson McQuinn is a woman who does not betray herself; and this thunderous loyalty to self carries her reader through words of Blood and of Light, into a living heart-flame of resilience and strength. How rare is this loyalty among women; we betray ourselves easily, quickly, stealthily. Yet these poems reveal our chosen shame, and reveal our senseless, tragic self-denial. There is little more empowering than a living, aching witness to our totality, our wholeness-inhabited glorification within Cristo-Sofia."
