Max is a billionaire, taking over his dads company gets propositioned by Daniel on the street... feeling guilty for something that happened in his past, he takes Daniel in and agree's to help him get his job back and sends him to rehab and somewhere in all that, they realize they have feelings for each other.... I liked this story, it was cute and I really felt for Daniel even though I didn't like the drinking problem or the fact that he admitted to swiping Max's wallet that one time...what was a sweet moment I felt like and Daniel had a little bit goin for him, totally ruined it when he admitted that..
Also, Richie... kinda wish we'd seen him get some karmatic justice for what he did to Daniel...
And the stepbrother? Matt? That came out of nowhere! I realize we needed some angst and stuff, but... I dunno, that whole part didn't do it for me...
Least they ended up together, happy and healthy...
But Max! Grrr
This is a fun story with the wonderful characters I was expecting but the ENDING (in all caps) stole the show! LOL
And I want more Timothy! Poor Timothy! He deserves some happy!
I felt a deep connection with the main character, Daniel, another child of an alcoholic just trying to make a life in an unfair world.
Having Lost everything, his Job, his home and His self esteem, he found out that there might be some good coming out of bad experiences.
I connected with Daniel, immersing myself into his Life, feeling like I was experiencing what he was going through.
This is an adult novel, and one that I am going to read over and over again.
I would give it six stars if I could.
Daniel has made some bad decisions and now the consequences need to be faced. Luckily for him, he meets Max, a philanthropically minded fellow who thinks Daniel is worth helping. (Oh, and he thinks Daniel is hot.)
Favorite parts: Max's friends, Daniel's honest, and the FORESHADOWING the author so clever weaves into the story. Yay! Loved it when that little tidbit dawned on me.
Enjoy this one; I sure did!
