A man wakes up and discovers that he is all alone. What happened to his family and neighbors? What is the mysterious fog that surrounds the neighborhood? You will have to give this a read to find the answer to those questions.
Highly recommend this title!!
Alone tells the story of a man named Dan. One day he wakes up to everyone gone. His husband, their daughter, the neighbors, everyone. Also, a mysterious fog surrounds his and a few other houses. Dan must figure out how he ended up in this strange new, but familiar world and why.
From the beginning I knew the twist. I had hoped I was wrong but no luck. However, that doesn't make it a bad story. Just average. Other than the twist the only other problem I had was with Dan's interaction with the environment around him, mostly with the pen, considering how other items act in his world.
In the end, just average.
I especially liked the little extra at the end, explaining where the story came from. Those little insights into the writing process I always find so interesting.
Also, chapter 4. Chapter 4 hit like a ton of bricks.

This was an enjoyable read, but very predictable. I think most people will have it figured out within a few pages.Published 4 months ago by Uncaged
A very good short from Mr. Keene. The behind the scenes details in the afterword really added to the enjoyment of the story for me. Well done and recommended! 4+ Amazon starsPublished 5 months ago by Bill
I read all of BK ....but I am getting tired of the single release less than a novel prints. I want full length novels again! I want to have time with the characters. Read morePublished 6 months ago by Preston Peters
Super short but still held my attention. Would to have liked to have seen an extra chapter or two at the end to give a longer wrap up. Read morePublished 10 months ago by Jeffrey S. Johansen
