Fighting for survival, Anna's resourcefulness is put to the test as she faces an unknown world and shrinking supplies. Anna must learn to use what she has to continue on and repair her ship. Soon she discovers that the beautiful planet has a few secrets and that she may not be as alone as she thinks.
Filled with adventure this book is fast paced and enjoyable. Anna's character becomes more alive as she faces the joys and hardships of being stranded in paradise. There are some tough situations that Anna finds herself in, but her courage and will to survive keep her moving. Anna is one strong woman.
I cannot wait for book three to be written.. "to be continued" type endings are frustrating, but that is a sign of a good story. Read and enjoy this writer's gift.
Anna has grown as a character since she was first assigned to that space station all by herself in the first book. Her voice remains true and engaging, and that is due to Patrick's clean style and fast-paced plotting. I'm looking forward to the third book in The Chronicles of Anna Foster.
Alone in Paradise picks up pretty much where the first one ended, however this time the darling Anna is not alone on a mining station, but she's crash landed Ryan's space ship onto a planet-like moon. Along with the onboard computer hologram, which takes form of another beautiful young woman, Anna, again, often finds herself in some interesting situations. That's about all I'll say as I do not wish to provide any sort of spoiler alert for those who have yet to read the book.
I found this book to be better than the first one. The plot was very entertaining, as it continuously built up to the climax of the book. As I read, I found myself wanting to keep reading to find out what sort of trouble Anna was going to get into next. The first book was good, however this book I found to be less monotanous. This one seemed to have alot more "action" so to speak than did book one. If you'll remember, most of the first book was her daily routine, although the interaction with her and the mining ship's onboard computer did provide some interesting moments.
I only hope that book 3 continues where this one left off. Cannot wait to see what other predicaments Anna finds herself in!
