Harrington's second Secret Life of Scoundrels Regency (after Dukes Are Forever) reunites a woman and her first crush, years after they shared a passionate moment. Emily Crenshaw is living quietly in Yorkshire, England, after the death of her husband. Maj. Nathaniel Grey, an emotionally distant war hero, travels to her home so that he can escort her back to London, where her brother is recuperating from a gunshot wound. Emily's refusal to go concerns and confuses him, but when circumstances force them together in close proximity, Grey can't hide the fact that he is drawn to her. Emily knows that there may be no future for them, but she wants to explore the desire she feels for Grey. Emily is a complex protagonist whose intelligence and beauty hide her insecurities about her previous marriage. The attraction between her and Grey is both sensuous and alluring. Harrington has created a richly woven novel, complete with romance, a touch of mystery, and wounded, believable characters. Agent: Sarah Younger, Nancy Yost Literary. (Mar.)\n
"4 stars! Newcomer Harrington creates fast-paced, lively romances with unconventional characters and plot. For her second novel, she adds heated sensuality and a gothic twist. There is little doubt that she is fast becoming a fan favorite."―RT Book Reviews on Along Came a Rogue
"In this thoroughly entertaining story, seduction and adventure take center stage. Nathaniel is far more honorable than he will admit, and Emily far braver than she ever imagined. Together, they form a formidable pair that readers are certain to love."―BookPage on Along Came a Rogue
"Harrington has created a richly woven novel, complete with romance, a touch of mystery, and wounded, believable characters."―Publishers Weekly on Along Came a Rogue
"A touching and tempestuous romance, with all the ingredients Regency fans adore."
--Gaelen Foley, New York Times bestselling author, on Dukes Are Forever
"As steamy as it is sweet as it is luscious. My favorite kind of historical!"

Never truly being accepted by English society in 1816, Major Nathaniel Grey gave little concern about the opinions of others. He had the financial security to secure his place among London's most elite. That was until he came face-to-face with his best friend's sister, Emily. The once awkward teenager had transformed into a vision of beauty that he vowed to protect at any price.
Imagine Lady Emily Crenshaw's shock when she was ambushed by the man who stole her heart at the tender age of sixteen with one kiss. A kiss that came with a huge price. Now, Gray has returned when she least wanted to be found. The price was greater than ever - she had a secret she vowed to protect.
If you have not experienced one of the romantic tales written by Anna Harrington, I cannot help but wonder why. I highly advise you to wait no longer. You are missing out on an epic emotional ride full of twists and turns that will keep you captivated from being to end. Happy reading!
As always, the author writes with a grace and flows so naturally from page to page that you cannot put the book down. I cannot wait to read more from her and am greatly looking forward to her next work.
Indeed sparks did fly between Grey and Emily.
But underneath the charming and brave front, our hero just wants to know who he is.
But love conquers all! (And the bonds of friendship that started during the war continues with Grey and with Thomas Matte.)
