I first encountered Mithril while working a renaissance faire as a performer. They were playing on one of the stages while I was working in the "lane", and their music not only put me in the proper frame of mind, but made me feel like I was indeed traveling back in time. The abilities of the individual musicians is stunning. The interplay is complex, yet flows gracefully. Major kudos on the engineering, which keeps things fresh and in your face, rather than awash in the typical sea of reverb so many Celtic-type acts prefer. I can't say enough good things about this CD. I play it constantly in my car. It not only evokes fond memories of when Mithril and I were both at the faire, but also of times past in the realms of the middle ages, even of middle earth.....
