Good Armrest Cushions, But...

I ordered these on 3/29/18, on 4/9/18 not even two weeks later I get a message from the company Aloudy Life asking me to write a review on their product. Personally I found it a little annoying, if a customer wishes to write a review let them, don't message them to. But fast-forward to now and I've had ample time to try the cushions out so here's my thoughts.

They've held up pretty well over the period of time I've used them, outlasting even the lumbar cushion that came with my DX Racer chair which has already begun going flat. While I wish they were a little thicker they've proved to be very comfortable and have no problem retaining their shape even after 6 months of continuous use. One armrest normally rubs against the corner of my desk and I've encountered no wear or "balding" in the process. No unraveling seams, tears, or rips at all in the fabric. For the price they're well worth the purchase and I'm glad I bought them. I only rate them 4 stars (More like 4.5 but Amazon doesn't let you do half-star ratings.) because of being initially asked to write a review. Beyond that, my experience has been overall very positive and I'd highly recommend them if you're in the market for some quality armrests that don't cost an arm and a leg.

Do not fit 11" armrests

I've gone through a LOT of armrest cushions in my life, both as a home-office nerd and a gamer, and at a glance this one is a clear winner. For one thing, it DOESN'T have those ugly, scratchy and obtrusive Velcro straps found on almost every other armrest cushion. Nope, it's just a nice, tight, elastic fit that goes perfectly with my DX Racer Newedge and SIDIZ T50 office chair. No loose straps getting stuck in weird places, no razor sharp straps slipping out and slashing up your arms. Just a clean, simple fit.

Next up is comfort. This thing has a perfect balance of softness, thickness, and firmness. It's super comfy for resting your forearms, while still providing soft support if you decide to jab your elbow into it and rest your head in your hand. The only other armrest cushions that provided a similar level of comfort and support were also comically large and had a loose fit (despite those abysmal straps), but these Aloudy armrests provide a similar level of comfort at half the size and with a much tighter fit.

Almost every other armrest cushion I've bought until now has been incredibly flimsy and pointless, despite being made of "memory foam." They generally flattened out with just a little bit of pressure, and the only one that managed to do a decent job was roughly two-inches thick and looked silly. These Aloudy's don't appear to be made of memory foam (potential false advertising alert!), but honestly that's not to its detriment. Whatever it's made out of, it actually provides a balance of support and comfort in a variety of positions that makes sense. And honestly, memory foam is great for a lot of things, but the localized pressure of an elbow ain't one of them.

The only question now is durability. How long will these last before they start flattening out, getting loose, or losing their firmness? Time will tell on that end, and I'll edit accordingly if such changes arise.

This is NOT memory foam

The material on the outside feels great--kind of a velvet feel to it. They fit great and don't shift around too much--there is a little bit of shifting, but that's to be expected. My biggest complaint is that this is advertised as memory foam (although it's misspelled in the description-should have been my first clue), but the pads are most definitely not memory foam. This is just plain open cell foam-press your hand or arms into the foam and it immediately springs back. The foam is thick and fairly firm--and much more comfortable than the hard armrests but they should not be allowed to advertise it as memory foam when it is not.

I Don't Usually Write Reviews - But This Product Deserves Praise

Never knew such a produce existed and just happend to see this pop up when looking for something else. I love my ten year old desk chair but it has armrests that are made of a very dense foam-like material and about two years age one of them split badly at the front edge. I've been living with black duct tape holding the armrest together, but having to constantly re-do the repair due to my arm rubbing against it and causing it to roll, leaving sticky residue on the armrest and my arm. These armrests arrived today - took about five seconds to install. They fit perfectly but do slide slightly from left to right - but that's something I can live with, and if it annoys me I think simply cutting something like a rubberized shelf liner pad and putting it on top of the armrests will hold the covers in place. Just saved myself over $200 - the cost of replacing my belived desk chair -- assuming I could even find one I love as much. Would definitely recommend this product.

I noticed from leaning on my desk or the original arm rests of my chair my elbows were turning dark or would sting sometimes. I needed something that would raise up my arms when working at my desk and cushion at the same time. This product has provided some relief.

This product has been comfortable. The cushioning is actually great. The only downside is although these are a good fit for my chair armrests they can move around quite easily, so if I lean on them from an awkward angle my elbow can slip off the armrest which is not the greatest BUT my elbows are not dark anymore so a plus for me...

I have an omega secret labs 2020 gaming chair and you would think for a 500 dollar chair it would have some pretty decent armrests, Well if they did i wouldn't have bought these.

These armrests are great for people like me that spend 10+ hours a day gaming. (Ya, I have no life)
I often find myself unknowingly leaning to one side, Putting more presser on my left elbow digging it into the armrest.
Without the pads my elbows would get very sore after awhile but with these pads i dont even notice it, They are very thick and extremely comfortable.

Only two downsides to these pads.
They fit the armrest but just barely, You have to really stretch it out to fit.
And they cover up two of the levers on the armrest, But i dont hold that agents this product as there not specifically made for this chair.

I only give 4 stars due to so many fake 5-star reviews, You cant trust a 5-star anymore.
But this is worthy of 5-stars

I have a Sealy office chair with arms that are starting to show signs of wear and tear. Ordered these as the ad says it fits "most" office chairs, and the photos show these pads stretching the full arm length of the person in the photo. The person must have been a very small man or a child as these pads definitely don't run the length of my arm, and don't fit the armrest. They barely stretch to fit and cover maybe 70% and look terrible. I'm disappointed by the misleading ad, I guess I should have measured and not trusted the company.
