I totally loved this book. It had me on edge wanting to keep turning the pages and seeing what would happen next. This book everything in it . I love daddy books also anything to do with shifters and spanking. So if your reading this then i encourage you to buy its worth it
The story begins with the heroine, Carly, being attacked as she spreads her adoptive father's ashes on the territory that he spent his entire life studying and fighting to preserve for the wolves/wildlife. She is saved by the hero, Lakota, and thus is introduced into a world that she has never known before--shifters. The plot is exciting, interesting, and relevant to this day and age--as Carly, Lakota, and the rest of the tribe have to fight against another shifter foe to keep their land, their lives. The book goes into detail about the different types of shifters around, and their past history and the causes for friction. This adds a really nice touch and greater depth to the book. I also really enjoyed the ending, as it was not what I was expecting--just because the heroine is submissive and likes being spanked, does not mean that she is weak, and this book exemplifies this!
The romance between Lakota and Carly was very sweet and natural. I suppose that fits with the genre of the book--shifter/wolves, but it felt like a natural progression, and the first scene where she was spanked was H.O.T. I re-read it three times before I moved on.
Once again Ava Sinclair has given us a fantastic read. This is her first shifter book and I really like what she has done with the genre. The mythos built around the WyldKind gives us added depth to the story. The book has a fully cast of characters that flesh out this great story. Lakota is the alpha of his WolfKind pack and as alpha he also acts as a father figure to all of his pack. Carly has just lost her adoptive father and wants to continue his work but is still trying to work through her grief at losing the only person she cared about. The inclusion of Bear gives us a common foe for both Carly and the WolfKind, as Bear has grudges against both. I can't really say that there is age play in this book, as Lakota's role as father figure to the hole pack and his mate, seems more of a guidance/disciplinarian role rather than a daddy role. The engrossing story with a touch of sex and discipline make this book and enjoyable read (even if you are not into shifters).
It's a mix of a shifter with age play thrown in.
Carly fowler was attacked by a bear while out
scattering her adopted fathers ashes in the
Alaskan Wilderness. She was saved by wolf
Lakota Longtree, alpha of the Wolfpack that roams
the mountains.Lakota knows about Carly's heritage,
something that she herself is unaware of.Carly's
father was a shifter who left the pack years ago.
Miles Fowler adopted her as a 12 year old but
did not tell her about her father.Carly is in great
danger from Bruce Holder. He is a bear shifter
and the one who was hunting Carly.Lakota
was determined to protect Carly even if this
means spanking her when she refuses to
listen.I enjoyed reading the emotional connection
between Carly and Lakota.
