I have most of Terry Spear books. Most of them I have liked. This one not so much. I found Eric weak. I mean he is suppose to be an alpha and he just backs off so easily. There is a time when he meet the jerk and when Pepper tells him to get in the truck he does. Even though he heard the other guy threaten his life. Not much of an alpha. Pepper I thougth she was whiny. Oh Woe Is Me. She kept saying that she did not want another mate but that did not stop her from getting together with him frequently. She seemed like she did not know what she wanted. She was not a really strong alpha.
I had hope for this book as I have read all of the books in the series. I liked some more than others but this one is the worst. If you have read the rest of the series then you may want to read it but I don't think you would miss anything if you do not read it. It was a story about to alphas who say they do not want another mate but are attracted to one another but they do not do anything about it for a while. They just let events unfold. They did not come off a real alpha wolves. I did not really like Pepper or Eric. I liked Susan her cousin more.
If you are a fan of this series then do not read this one. It will only disappoint you like it did me.
I would at least read the Silver Town Wolf stories in order before this one, if not all the Heart of the Wolf books.
