You have a latent wolf\ witch that kicks ass. She meets the alpha son in a pack. What follows is their love story, with lot of problems.

Sabrina Silvers is a new author to me and to be honest, after reading 'Alpha's Moon', which is book one in her "Dirigo Pack" series, I've come to the conclusion she now has a new follower. Anyone who has read any of my reviews knows that I'm a paranormal/shifter fan and Ms. Silvers has delivered in spades. Her world-building pulled me in, he characters were strong and multi-dimensional, and her story-telling kept me rivetted. There's passion, betrayal, loyalty, fear, prejudice, confidence, understanding, and chemistry. There's also a whodunit that kept the suspense moving along. I'm more than interested in reading which member of the pack we get to hear from next.

I find it difficult to dislike a shifter book. The sub-genre is chockablock with both the traditional and the far-out, so I tend to soak those books up. I don't regret it either.

Alpha's Moon is good. Much more the traditional shifter story with a kickass heroine and a truly devoted Alpha-Heir who is dying to claim her.

After a night out, Sheridan finds herself at the center of an abduction investigation for her close friend Kayleigh. A White Knight in the form of Kayleigh's brother rides in and takes over. Kane is the Alpha-Heir of the Dirigo Pack and in charge of security. His senses tell him Sheridan isn't a suspect, and what's more, she's his true mate. He doesn't expect her to fight the mating call so hard or to want her like he does. Meanwhile, his sister is missing, and someone is subverting the investigation. Who in the pack is guilty of the unthinkable? Treason.

I enjoyed this. As a matter of fact, I read it in one sitting. I fell into the story, and it was a dang comfy place to be; I stayed there cover to cover.

Recommend Alpha's Moon to anyone who is a Shifter Romance fan.

This was my first book by this author, and I loved this! Sheridan is half witch/half wolf shifter; she doesn’t have much power, so she’s been pretty much shunned. So, she’s understandably wary of wolf packs, but is friends with a female wolf shifter. When her friend goes missing, Sheridan puts her bounty hunter and witch skills to work trying to find her. Wolf shifter Kane is the brother of Sheridan’s friend, so the two team up. Kane knows Sheridan is a potential mate for him right away, and Sheridan feels it too, but she’s unsure if they are the right fit. Sheridan does take way too long waffling about being Kane’s mate, but the chemistry was excellent between them. Very sweet together and smokin’ passion! Kane is totally wonderful! Love that he wasn’t the typical playboy wolf, and that he’s protective without being constraining. Sheridan uses her brain and kicks butt! There’s some fun action and suspense too! Danger and excitement! I’m looking forward to the next book! This one ends in a satisfying way, but there is more story from some of the other characters; super excited for more about what happened to Kayleigh!

Alpha Moon is the first book in the Dirigo Pack series by Sabrina Silver. I read this book on a whim. I posted a promo for it last week when it was released, read the blurb and a couple teasers, and decided to start reading it. I'm so glad I did, because I couldn't put it down. There is a lot going on all through it. The supporting characters were interesting too. Their whole pack dynamic is intriguing and makes sense when you think about it from a wolfy perspective. Wolfy perspective? Is that a thing? It is now. Of course you have the romance too, which I found to be very believable. Then you have the kidnapping, the betrayals, and the threat of war. Lots going on in the background, and you don't know who to trust.

I’m getting back into the paranormal/shifter sub genre and this book is a great start. I love getting in on a brand new series from the start and Sabrina Silvers brought the excitement starting on page one.
While Sheridan and Kane are the couple behind the story, we get a lot of information up front about not only their personalities but their families and the dynamics of the Dirigo pack. Not only is there pack shenanigans going on, the inter-pack politics within the wolf shifter community is explored…bringing intrigue, danger and a whole lotta back-stabbing betrayal.
As with most shifter stories, there are a lot of hot and sexy scenes, but Silver makes sure to include honest, emotional connection between Sheridan and Kane to enrich their bond. I could not put this book down after I picked it up, it’s that good! I can’t wait for the next couple and the next book…I’m not sure how she’s going to top this one!

Love is worth fighting for, but you can't be the only one fighting...

Sheridan Wells was a force to be reckoned with. She had a particular set of skills required as a bounty hunter. She did not lack in her abilities and prowess, but she definitely did in family and friend connections. Sheridan paired up with Kane MacKinnon, Alpha-Heir to the Dirigo pack. Kane's sister has been abducted and their investigation into finding her has turned cold. It has brought up many suspicions within the pack.

Kane and Sheridan are attracted to each other immediately. Kane believes she is his mate. When it's real, it's hard to walk away. This story was suspenseful and exciting and had me on the edge of my seat. The secondary characters play a major role in this adventure. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
