I've had this for about a month now, and I don't have any complaints with it so far. I had it installed by Best Buy, along with a backup camera and a SiriusXM tuner. It didn't take them long to do it, and it looks very professional. And since I don't have steering wheel controls, I got a remote and it works great. There are some things I don't like about it but for the most part it's been great.

Navigation

Navigation is really easy to use, and quite accurate. We took a long trip recently and it worked great. You can change various aspects of it, such as viewpoint (2D, 2D North, 3D and manual). I like the 3D view point, because I think it gives the best picture. You can also change the voices, and it gives you various languages also. And one thing I like is she'll tell you exactly when to turn. It will also tell you which lane to be in when you're coming up on an exit, as well as showing the life-like road sign of the exit you need to take. Another cool feature is that if you're navigating somewhere, you can hold the map button down and it will split the screen between navigation and whatever audio mode you're in.

The only couple of drawbacks, in my opinion, are minor. One is that the estimated arrival time fluctuates greatly and doesn't really give you a good idea of when you'll get there. Also, it'll tell you there is a turn coming up in 1 minute. But that turn is 3 miles down the road. I don't know many people that can go 3 miles in 1 minute. The other drawback is that if you're on the phone it keeps wanting to go back to the phone screen when in navigation. But those are the only drawbacks I found so far with the navigation, and they're very minor.

Bluetooth

Bluetooth was easy to set up.

Environment: Installed in a 2011 Nissan Frontier. Third owner. When I got it, it was pretty much a stock vehicle. Connected to a Samsung Galaxy S5 as the phone. I have XM/Sirius option installed.
PROS: Easy to install, very good fit into the standard double din spot in this vehicle.
Radio, this is where the Alpine name earns its money. The audio coming out of this system is absolutely awesome!!! I do like that it pauses bluetooth playback duing GPS directions and phone calls, restarting the song where it paused at the end of the interruption. Also it restarts a bluetooth song at the beginning, that was stopped in the middle because the vehicle was shut off, once the vehicle is restarted. Nice touch, should be an option, but I like it.
The many audio input options make it a very nice device for the money. Including XM, bluetooth, AM/FM, USB, Pandora via smartphone bluetooth, AUX, etc...
GPS, it knows my home city, so inputting an address assumes the city I am in, that is good. this is about the only good GPS function. Although I will say the path it chooses is right on about 80% of the time, if not more.
Lane assist works really well most of the time (see one exception below)
Map, audio, and phone buttons work really well and are easy to understand.
Phone, the built in microphone seems to work well with good audio (according to my callers) most of the time.

Cons:
Incredibly limited amount of customizable options. See the things I wish I could tweak/adjust below... (most of these options were stock, or not an issue on my old Garmin.
A wiring diagram is not included, I had to find one on the web.
GPS is pretty abysmal: When I am coming up to a MAJOR street here in Las Vegas Nv.

I can't believe that a high-end Alpine unit like this does not have voice-dialing. My last Alpine deck was a cheapo and it had voice dialing. I specifically asked my Alpine dealer if it had this feature and he assured me it did. Now he's telling me that tech support told him that it doesn't, but that they MAY come out with a software update. Come on , Alpine; how could you be so stupid? Okay, it has all the other bells and whistles, but this is a real issue. Who wants to be trying to scroll through phone numbers to make a call? This is an essential HANDS-FREE feature and should not have been left out. Get with it, geniuses.

Excellent sound. Clean, use to use interface. GPS is accurate and satellite acquisition takes a few seconds only. Phone calls with the provided microphone installed by the rearview mirror are clear to me and and callers hear me well. Full pandora integration requires an additional cable for iphones (not for android phones) but I can wirelessly transmit pandora (or any music playing out of my iphone, e.g. Spotify or personal library) via high-quality Bluetooth and can even pause and skip songs on the screen without pulling my phone. Very pleased.

Purchased at a good price and had it installed by local car radio company. They had to add an extra gizmo to allow me or passenger to reprogram the GPS without coming to a full stop by the side of the road. I should not be treated like a child (or potential litigant) by Alpine.
Roughly three weeks after installation the GPS stopped working entirely. Alpine accepted it for warranty repairs but I have been driving with a hole in my dashboard for over a month awaiting return and re-installation of the radio. While I had it, it seemed to work OK though not particularly easy to adjust the treble, bass etc.
Next time I will purchase locally at a higher price where if something goes wrong, they could replace it with another radio. Live and learn even at my advanced age...
