It is very well made, genuine leather, and zippers are very nice. It is made in India.
-One pocket has 6 compartments; each of which is enough to hold more than 1 card. The stitched slot between compartments can be used to keep a small bill or a visiting card.So technically one pocket has 11 slots. (In 2 compartments I have 3 card in each and it looks like they can hold more then that)
-Second pocket has 2 large compartments. I haven't put anything there yet, but they are quite roomy.
-Font has nice clear plastic for easy access to ID
Credit card slots:
The credit card slots on the Buxton are slim enough that you can see all of your cards easily. On the Alpine, the slots are so wide and deep that your cards are buried. Yes, you can fit more than one card in each slot on the Alpine, but they're still not as visible as in the Buxton.
The Buxton is smaller and it's shape doesn't malform when you cram a bunch of cards into it and zip it.
2nd Zippered area:
Buxton: 3 slots
Alpine: 2 slots
The zipper on my last Buxton broke after a few years of use, and I bought the Alpine as there were more color choices, but I think the Buxton is a superior product and will buy that on my next wallet purchase.
