So far, I have my ID, 4 credit cards, and a few bills in this wallet. On the outside pocket, I keep my work ID and another card for work. The pockets have not stretched out yet, and it has been about 6 months since I bought this wallet.
I would definitely recommend this to a friend. A buddy of mine bought a thin wallet as well, which is why I decided to look for one myself. He spent about $80 bucks on his, and ended up having to return it for another one. Mine has been solid since the beginning, and I only spent 11 bucks! Definitely a worth while purchase, and will be definitely be buying this again when mine gets too old.
Overall the wallet seems to be of reasonable quality; however, I purchased it because I wanted to use the exterior pocket to hold my ID card (something I use daily to swipe into offices). After a week of use the pocket was so loose that my swipe cards would fall out unexpectedly, almost causing me to lose them.
If you're not planning on using the outside pocket and want a slim wallet, then you will likely be very happy with this wallet.
I ended up giving mine away and replaced it with this wallet: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WVALGK/. I can't say enough good things about it. This wallet is slightly smaller in width and height and about the same thickness (depending on how full of cards you pack it).
My biggest gripe, and it's been voiced on reviews here before, is the outside pocket is ridiculously loose. So much so, anything you put in there would just slide out (including 2 very large building ID cards). Since I only need these ID cards to waive against a reader, I used some double-sided sticky dots to adhere them to the pocket themselves. That fixed the problem for now, but if I had not, the pocket would have been useless and take up needless width. That's a huge oversight in my book but luckily it can be fixed.
The other gripe I have heard is the logo on the front of the wallet. I actually kind of like it. It's not as flush as you might expect from a thin wallet, but it adds a bit of flash to something very plain. My wife immediately asked me if it was Swiss Army, which is what I'm sure they were going for. For only $12, I'll take the compliment.
What were they thinking putting that goofy logo button on there? It's like a scab you wanna pick. K Swiss, or whatever this outfit is called, thinks more of their logo than they do their customers. On the other hand, as one reviewer noted, the wallet is so thin you may not be sure it's there. That annoying little protuberance is there to let you know.
I had to jam my credit cards into two of the slots. The middle slot won't take a card. Lucinda suggested don't worry about it, the leather will loosen up. The outside slot is not useful unless you don't mind something STICKING OUT.
I was getting ready to return this wallet but it took me an hour to find it among the bewildering array offered on Amazon. After consulting Lucinda, I decided to overlook the deficiencies and move on. You could search for another hour and still not find the ideal wallet.
There are good things. The wallet is thin and the leather has a good feel to it.
A wallet is not supposed to be fat, complicated, luxurious, just simple and effective. This wallet is exactly that. Six pockets designed to hold cards and Id's with one of them being clear, perfect for a drivers license or school ID. The leather holds the cards in snug, but the pockets are wide enough to put two or three in one pocket. There's even a pocket on the outside of your wallet to keep a card for easy access so that you can reach into your pocket and grab an ID or credit card without taking out and opening up your wallet. At first I was a little worried that I would loose that card (I used it for my student ID) but the leather, or whatever it is, holds the card in tight and after more than a weeks worth of daily use, nothing inside or out has shifted or moved an inch.
I really cant find any flaws with the design, perfect setup; simple, functional, and if you care it looks great too. The only temporary downside would be that when you open up the packaging the wallet REEKS of chemicals/hide....but this goes away quickly. After a weeks use I can't hardly even smell it if I hold my nose up to the wallet and inhale.
Awesome wallet. Totally worth the twelve bucks, I will be using this thing for years to come.
