GRIND SIZE
While The MESH works well with all grind sizes ranging from super fine to coarse we find that the best grinds range from Medium to Fine. Brewing inverted is also recommended.

It would have been okay if this company backed up their warranty. I’ve switched back to paper filters since, and I’m not looking back. I liked the idea of using less paper filters, but for the same price as this now worthless piece of metal, I can buy years worth of filters. Avoid this product/company.

I've just been using it as a template to cut circles out of regular coffee filters to use instead since it's all I had, and that has at least allowed me to have my morning coffee. I'm just going to go back to the original paper filters because they were so much less of a hassle.

The manufacturer states that its "great with finer grind sizes (like turkish or espresso", however mine became nearly unusable after a few months of using it with espresso grind. The finer particles seem to have embedded into the mesh and no cleaning method I've thrown at it has done anything to remove it. It's a shame because it was great at first, but at this point the pressure needed to force anything through it is way unsafe. I contacted the manufacturer about it but after waiting a month had still received no response.By Erik on August 18, 2020

We used the filter for four months. It has become so clogged, it is basically unusable. In fact, we had to apply so much pressure that we may have warped our aeropress. We tried various cleaning approaches, such as using blue dawn, to remove the coffee grinds. However, we can't clean it enough for use. We've sent three emails to claim the warranty, but Altura hasn't responded.
