I was really happy with this purchase. The case is very light weight and sturdy. It was the lowest price available (at the time) for this type of product. I worried that it might be a "cheaper" variety as the description described it as "aluminum-like", however, I was pleasantly surprised when it was exactly as expected, maybe even better. Don't let the description sway you. The aluminum-like build gives the box good stability while keeping it light-weight. The box works well for holding CD/DVD (s) as it looks, feels and operates similar to your more expensive brands. I however saw this little tip online about using it for storing your markers. It works perfectly. I own a variety of the most widely used brands of markers and they all fit nicely into the box.

The box comes with 150 inserts (typically used to store your CD/DVD(s), allowing storage of up to 300 CD/DVD(s). Each sleeve holds two CD/DVD(s) (one on each side) and is numbered ( ie: 1-2, 3-4, 5-6,etc.) on one side. This is helpful for creating a list of contents, which you can conveniently add to the inner lid of the box. Finding CD/DVD(s) of interest has never been easier. The sleeves are added to the box by hanging on two side rails, very similar to hanging file folders in a filing cabinet. In my case the sleeve holds about 8-10 markers and the box holds about 36 sleeves (~250-350 markers). I use them to hold my markers upright. By doing this I could organize them by color and variety. Drawing is made simple by quickly seeing the colors I need. I store my larger markers that don't fit (in the sleeve) in the lid of the box. See my image for more details. This CD/DVD(s) storage case was a great buy whether storing CD/DVD or markers in my case.

I brought this case in hopes of keeping my kids out of my CD's! It has a cheesy lock on it, but it does the trick for now.

After putting all my CD's (216) in this case with the CD covers I realized that this case won't hold 300 CDs because of the covers, but I prefer to have the covers with each CD so that's fine. What's nice about this case is you can pack it as full as you can, but still be able to see what each CD is because there's a spot on each CD sleeves that allows you to hand-write the name of each CD for that CD sleeve (which holds 2 CD's per sleeve), kind of like a filing cabinet. The case it self is pretty durable for the most part. The only thing I can see that might be a problem later is the handle. After loading the case with my CDs and covers, I went to move the case and the handle pulled on the lid and make it look like it was going to break off the lid. I'm not sure if the handle is going to be able to with-stand the weight of the case now that it is loaded with my CD and their covers, only time will tell! This case also has a nice felt-lining on the inside.

Durability ... The cases seems like aluminum but I'm not sure. I'm not rough with it and they mostly sit on top of my popcorn machine beside my main television. The handles seem good but the hinges where they attach to the case seem flimsy. I never use the lock (And unless there is porn your keeping away from your kids/parents/wife/gf/all of those mentioned... or DVD archived CCTV footage or something I don't really see a point for this) The lock doesn't seem like it would be that difficult to break open either as it appears to be thinly made. For the price and ease of use/easy to organize/etc I love it. If it had a little spot for a paper (or whatever) label the size of a business card on the top or front I would love it more. The roughest they have been handled was sliding off the leather seat in my old mustang when some crazy person pulled out in front of me. You can't even tell I came to almost a dead stop from 70 and it was bounced off my dashboard and chipped the paint in the car. It doesn't grip to well so I highly recommend putting them in the floorboard if traveling, lol. There is a little room inside for them to come off their hooks they hang on but not enough for them to get out of order unless you used them for a soccer ball for a few hours or something extreme.

Organization... I have a TON of movies and video games and needed to get one of them organized down. I looked over a few and bought a few other organizers (binder style for just discs and discs and cover art too but didn't use them due to the difficulty in adding a extra and keeping it in any kind of order and not just a random list).

After getting the information about copic marker storage on youtube I bought this Case. I love it. It holds all my copic markers 8 across in color familys. I can see at a glance what I need and what I have. The case is strong enough for what I need it for. No problems but it comes with 3 hundred hanging cd files I only needed about ten but who knows lol.

I used this for my scrapbooking wafer thin dies. There are two sections inside for side by side storage. I also stored my smaller Sizzix dies in this. I have since moved the dies to another system, but for CD's, this is great. The sleeves are inside with hooks to fit on the rails like a file cabinet for CDs.
