I really liked this story. It was somewhat predictable and quite a bit sad in places but it was fairly well done. The characters were great and I believed in the choices they made, for the most part.
There were some big, flashing warning signs where Ian was concerned but it didn't detract from the story too much.
My only real problem was the ending--no cliffhanger but ridiculously abrupt! I've never seen a book more in need of an epilogue. Really frustrating and insulting. To have read SO MANY PAGES of Justine and Dillon being apart and then have them get together for like two pages and then--instantly--the end!?!?!
I feel angry and cheated. It has ruined the book for me in some ways.
Would have been four stars with an epilogue.
I love, love, love, LOVED Part I - it was heartrending, it was engrossing, I loved all the music talk and going to concerts and all of the energy and the pain that goes along with falling in love at the wrong time
then we got to Part II ...
it was still well written, but ... that Part II, for the most part, was not for me
the ending, to me, was quite abrupt -- I had invested so much time in the rest of the book, that I just felt so let down by it ...
I really wish all of the feelings and emotions could have carried over from Part I and into Part II
that said, it was a beautifully written story - my feelings about Part II are my own - while I disagree with the direction Weaver decided to take her story, I loved how she brought her words together and elicited so many emotions - I would definitely read another Weaver story and, despite my feelings about this story, I would recommend it to the music buffs - she really brings the love of music to life
if anyone is interested, the bits that got to me about Part II ...
I really wish that the other guy was not there
I really wish there was no unexpected pregnancy
I really wish there was no cheating
(not a fan of cheating and the whole thing around the other guy
only served to take me further and further away from the feels of Part I)
by the end of it, I didn't really like her
I just felt sad for him
and it left me feeling like maybe they weren't really meant to be
Even if you are not a fan of the genre this is a good read. Weaver managed to give her readers a romance without emotionally manipulating its readers. This is something many writers (not matter what the subject matter) have a hard time accomplishing and I really appreciate the lack of it here.
Well done Ms. Weaver. I looked forward to more

Really good story, awesome build up with the characters, but I would have loved a longer ending or an epilogue.Published 10 months ago by Tina
It started out good. I enjoyed part one. Part two just dragged. It became very predictable. I wanted it to end. I did however finish it. That says something.Published 12 months ago by Jo

Great storytelling! I wish that we had a bit more, since the ending seemed a bit soon. However, the writing is great and the story reads very smoothly.Published 22 months ago by sepideh9
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Always by Amanda Weaver. The story between Dillon and Justine is a love story set at the wrong time in both of their lives. Read morePublished on June 30, 2014 by Amazon Customer
