Although I don't usually like novels that go back and forth from past to present, it worked well in this particular novel. The group sex scenes some readers complained about didn't bother me because it was kept between the four main characters.
There is plenty of drama and angst. Dallas reminds me of a less douchebag version of Deuce in Sheehan's Undeniable but at least he keeps it in his pants and decides to inflict pain on himself through drinking. It's a gritty story reflecting a tough life. I will definitely read book 2. Although it ends without several conflicts being resolved, I'm glad there wasn't a cliffhanger at the end. 😀
find it more like a romance read then a MC Club story ..
Dallas has been in love with Cora most of his life .. They was raised
around the club life .. Dallas always put his club and others before Cora
and she has enough .. this is a cliff hanger .. Also starring in this book is Dallas's
brother Danny and his girl friend Rowan also this has some F/F scene and switching of partners.
I am currently read the second book in series
And all the female on female action? Not to my taste. I wouldn't have bought the book had I any clue that would be such a big part. There was more of that than male/female action! Also, it felt as if it was just tossed in to fill the plot, and had nothing to do with character development.
WHY did the hero leave? What was his freakin' problem?
And ... I just think SC should pull this book and rewrite it.
