Editorial Reviews

From the Author

Adella is my daughter, and I know firsthand how difficult it can be to explain what Down syndrome is, especially to other children. I hope that this book will provide its readers with the necessary information to have an open and productive discussion about Down syndrome and how to interact with someone different than themselves. Despite their differences, all children have one thing in common--the desire to be loved, included, and heard. Just like you!

About the Author

Rebecca DalMolin received her BA in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona, where her passion for children's literature ignited. After her daughter was diagnosed with Down syndrome, she was inspired to use the power of books to advocate for those with disabilities while teaching others about inclusion and acceptance. She lives in Southeast Arizona with her hunky husband and spunky kids, where they share their home with ten chickens, three dogs, a couple of barn cats, far too many cows, and not nearly enough horses. When she isn't writing, you can find her chasing her three little hooligans, opening gates for her favorite cowboy, or eating her secret stash of chocolate.
