Parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts will benefit from owning such a story. Wisdom from those who have lived longer has much priceless worth for our youth. I have placed the book on my coffee table as a reminder. Everyday, I pass by it, and remember Fay Klinger's words and a smile falls upon my face. Thank you Fay. Best wishes to you.
In a twist, Grandma has a stroke and it's Lu's turn to help her grandmother. She shows how she has internalized the messages as she encourages her grandmother.
This book is perfect for kids and adults. Some of the messages are needed for adults. We need to be reminded that we are strong and smart too.
This book touched on the subject of bullying in schools. Teachers are not always aware of what is going on. Luckily this little girl felt close enough to her grandma to reveal her hurts. The author did a beautiful job in weaving a cute story around these important lessons.
As a child I wish I would have had this book to navigate all the difficult situations I couldn’t understand and didn’t have an advocate to help me with.
As a mother I am deeply grateful to have this book for my children.
Thank you Lu and Grandma May for sharing your story in such a simply delightful and full circle way.

It will be read many times and treasured.
This is the best children's book I've read that addresses bullying, self-worth, family relationships and teaching children to believe in themselves.Published on April 8, 2014 by Donna Witt
