Not many people write about the time that came a bit before and after the Soviet Union Falls or how the USA reacts to such a thing. It is good to see a alternate history scenario that plays with what if the USA collapses just like the Soviet Union. I enjoyed the characters and how it sticks to a realistic story that does play with what happened during the time and looks from multiple points of views and beliefs and holds nothing back.
We need more stories like this in our community that are realistic but entertaining. Sure the more crazy ones like Man In The High-Castle are entertaining but sometimes you need to see something that could of happened.
This is a must read. Got to love that cover art too man. Its symbolic and connects to America's Greeko-Roman style and heritage.

This book provides an interesting twist in US history and a new perspective on political extremism and tensions in this country. It also provides an interesting new view of "protagonists" that I was not expecting but enjoyed. The only complaints is 1) that I felt some jumps in the time line weren't fully explained and left me kinda lost and 2) some more detail could go into battles but overall I thought it was a great book and I hope to see another one in this alternate time line

While I was originally drawn to this book as an alternative history focusing on the ways nationalism could rise in the US, it quickly and clearly became something else. While the writing is okay, it very clearly begins to elevate facism to level it does not deserve. When studying a concept in your writing you can surely explore the positives of things most would write off in an instant, but glossing over the many flaws and oppression of facism elevates Nazi ideology. I read through this piece of propaganda hoping the final points would highlight how dangerous this extreme facism could be, but it continued to read as a neo-nazi's wet dream to the last sentence. If you want to read fascist propaganda, then this is the book for you. If not? Skip it

I bought this because a youtube page i follow recommended it. It has promise, but i couldn't make it to the half way point of the book before I got to bored. Ive read all the Turtledove books amd Robert Conroy. What i learned from them is if you're going to use multiple narrators then have them of different perspectives. Like have a person fighting to keep the states together.

This book is just amazing
The twists and turns leave your mouth open
The characters have unique and interesting backstory
The book reads like a (((Hollywood))) movie
If you like action and deep political thought this novel is for you
Probably will be offensive for anyone who when to college and loved it

The Story feels a bit rushed and the Characters are given not too many details or development however the idea and premise of the story is amazing and horrifying. It mirrors in a way our current society with many feeling their way of life threatened. Good Read.

An interesting read.

A strange book from the alternate historian known by the moniker ""Monseuir Z". Surprisingly he breeches very interesting and uncomfortable topics by compressing 50 years of what is considered "progress" by the mainstream into an alternative rapid decade of progress leading to a violent snap back.
The only critique I really have for this fascinating and at times techno-punky world is that it strays into philosophical screed, which seems at times entirely unecessary. While understanding your character's motivations and philosophies are welcome, I felt it came to dominate the story too much with internal dialogue instead of showing this philosophy at work via character or world interaction. A bit too much of being told rather than shown.

Really a great book. Surprisingly well-written for a self-published author whose publicity mainly comes from his alternative history YouTube channel (which i highly recommend viewing).
The subject matter delves into what I'm sure liberal critics of this book will call "alt-right propaganda", but in reality it is a thoughtful exploration of patriotism, national and racial identity, and the idea that ordinary people can unite to overcome incredible odds. Very compelling read, which I finished within a day of receiving it. I particularly liked the inclusion of certain real-world historical figures, who are not named but are immediately recognizeable by their descriptions and dialogue.
The writing style could use some work; at times it felt as though not enough work had been put into describing the events and settings, often done in a very matter-of-fact way. Also, at times the protagonists were somewhat lacking in personality and development, often feeling more like aspects of a single personality than fleshed-out individuals. These are minor complaints though, and I look forward to reading more by the author. Hopefully this story will be continued, as the book left a few loose ends in the narrative.

Good Alternative History

The author does a good job of portraying a more chaotic and divided America in the 1960s, one that led to a second civil war. The book I felt could have been longer and some of the background lore feels left out, but overall pretty good.
