Praise for the author:
“Generosity and compassion flow from Paul. His gifts help me find deeper connections to myself and to the world. His guidance is powerfully freeing, and, to me, indispensable.”
“In a world of would-be psychics making great claims for themselves with little evidence to back them up, Paul Selig is the real thing.”
— Rachel Pollack, author of 78 Degrees of Wisdom: A Book of Tarot
“Paul and his Guides somehow manage to transmit and then explain ancient gnostic revelations in simple language that anyone can understand. The result is a kind of handbook on how to access and use the creative or 'out-picturing' powers of language and thought (our 'knowing') and the deep, still unconscious divinity of humanity (our 'worth'). A magical book.”
—Jeffrey J. Kripal, J. Newton Rayzor Professor of Religious Studies, Rice University
“Through his clear, compassionate, and at times ruthlessly insightful spiritual guides, Paul Selig has written a breathtaking and powerful treatise on the importance of self worth to spiritual knowing. However, this is no armchair new age philosophy. It is a transformational manual dedicated to making this essential knowing accessible. I found this to be one of the most powerful and influential books I have ever read."
—Jose Luis Stevens Ph.D., Co-founder of The Power Path, psychologist, teacher,
and author of Secrets of Shamanism, The Power Path, and Awaken the Inner Shaman

The reason I'm writing this now is that tonight (Jan. 2015) I was thinking, what marked the beginning of my spiritual awakening? This book! Within 6 months my life had changed tremendously and I had found meaning in life. The declarations you will read in this book are powerful and DO have an effect on you and those around you. They have helped me "lighten my load" by forgiving others, and much more. Almost every night I have a dream that points out someone else I need to forgive, or a trauma I have to think through and work out. Fulfilling one intention, after about 14 months I found like-minded people in a very unexpected way. They have not read this book, but then we all have our individual paths, often to the same place. I've recently come back to using the Word phrasing for intentions, because more than any other method, I've seen and felt a direct link between them and positive outcomes. It's as if someone "out there," whether it's your own higher self, your spirit guides, the teachers of this book, or The One (and we are all one) sits up and takes notice when you use these words! And you'll never be the same again. I'm still working on having unconditional love, of myself most of all, because that's where it starts.
My favorite quote from this book has to do with freedom from religion: "And if any man tells you that the way to salvation, for lack of a better word, is their way and their way alone, run in the other direction today. And we say this with great seriousness. Run in the other direction today."
One word of advice (speaking of spirits sitting up and taking notice): As you try to connect with the spiritual realms, be careful. Part of my awakening, after about 7 months, was beginning to have clairaudience, a telepathic connection with spirits. I left myself wide open--if a SPIRIT says to go to Palomar mountain and ask for "the zookeeper," well by golly I'm going to go!!! I forgot that you need to surround yourself with light and--I don't recall this book warning us--learn about protecting your innocent psyche from harm. I was too wide open, without protection, and oh so gullible. Spirts told me they were my Guides and were such masterful manipulators, mixing wisdom with lies, that I ended up getting mired down for months and emotionally devastated at the end. I have had to stop any telepathic contact with spirits, because my false guides still enjoy interfering. In some ways I feel I'm missing out on much true wisdom and guidance I might have had if I'd gone slowly and learned protection first. If telepathy is easy for you, watch out. My theory is, my comparatively low vibration as a beginner made it easy to communicate with spirits of a low vibration, who did not have my best interest at heart, and that's an understatement.
