we love itNo batteries required, no buttons , sounds or lights.But lot of fun in each of the 6 side faces and the top Materials are safe, construction is good it is not very big but good for toddlerVery colorful with lots of fun activities!It is for my 10 month old son, He immediately started playing with it and exploring all the movable parts. It is extremely sturdy and well made, and we love that it's wood instead of plastic. This also gives it some weight so that he can pull up on it without it sliding too much. One side has detachable shapes that we're going to leave off until he's older (right now they would go straight in his mouth), even though they're decent size and unlikely a choking hazard. This way I can leave him alone with the cube and not worry at all. Another great aspect... it comes as ONE PIECE, already assembled!!! No screws, instructions, or parts to mess with :) And with prime shipping we got it in two days. As he gets older there are many "teachable" components: counting, shapes, gears, animals, colors. I'm excited that this toy will grow with him and is durable enough to last through many more children. We are extremely happy with this product...
