This A/C runs ok.
It's not too loud but it doesn't blow that cold.
I use it in a very small bedroom.
I can leave it on high all night and it will cool the room but it won't get as cold as it should.
I have a portable A/C unit that doesn't even use a refrigerant and it blows colder than this unit.
It's not bad enough to return it but I wouldn't buy this product again.

I am sure the Amana air conditioner is great! Could not put it in the window as it had no kit with it. Had to be bought separate!! That made me more than upset as most come with it!
They sent it even after I told them not too. Then when at last I was ready to put it in and the man was here to do it, the back of it was all smashed in!! Still in the box and the box looked fine! So now I have a free Amana the does not work, they did not want it back because they would have had to pay for shipping!! What do I do with now???? Due to health problems, I really needed it with all the humidity. Not a happy buyer! From now on if it doesn't come from
Amazon I am not ordering it!!

I have one window unit and needed a second. Chose this one since it was the same 5,000 btu and voltage. This one is so much louder and not as efficient. Have to have it at full blast which vibrates the whole window sill to get the rooms to be the same temperature. Wish I wouldve just bought two the first time.

I got this for my daughters bedroom. It doesn’t have a remote but that ok. It works well and does the job I bought it for. Her room is not very big so it cools nicely. I gave it four stars because it has one corner bent in shipping. Doesn’t affect the function of the unit so I’m not going to worry about it. Though I wish they had been a little more careful in shipping. I would recommend it. It’s cools a small room well and it doesn’t need to be fancy for that.
