A bit thin, but works well

I first gave this shower curtain rod one star because it fell down so easily. But in looking into getting a different one, we read online that the way to attach them is to make the rod wider than the gap it spans, and then squeeze it to make it fit. This method creates a much tighter grip than if you turn it to widen it while holding it up in place. Since we did this, it has not fallen down once. I apologize to the company for my first review, although I don’t know if the instructions described this way of attaching it.

It fell down several times when we first installed it. I am not sure what about we changed in the way we last jammed it into place, but it has now stayed out for three weeks with a row of baby clothes hanging. In other words: if at first you don’t stuck-ceed, try try again.

This rod is exactly what you get for your money. It’s not sturdy at all. It doesn’t lock and it keeps sliding down. If it wasn’t for the type of wall I have I’d be putting the rod back in place everyday.

It’s sturdy. It’s fallen down so many times on me and my family that I guarantee it is sturdy. Unfortunately it simply doesn’t stay up. I’ve tried all sorts of times to get it stuck in the bathroom solidly and it doesn’t stay. A waste of money and contacting the seller is a waste of time. They asked a question, I answered it and then I never heard from them again. Try a store you can actually return it to. We missed the deadline for returns because my son kept putting it up and didn’t tell me it had been falling on him routinely. Clocked him pretty good a few times too. Lucky he’s hard headed? Don’t use it on small kids or older people. Or just don’t use it. Should’ve been recalled.

I'm very pleased with these rods. I purchased 4 of them. They are excellent quality for the price (which may be higher now). They're simple and elegant. I have no problems with them remaining in place. In fact, they adhere so well that when I went to move one of them, it pulled some of the drywall with it. Though, this didn't bless me, I would still recommend the product. That little incident was not the rodeo's fault, but my own. The object lesson here is, if you plan to move the bar, loosen it first! ;)
