Very Permanent Shower Caulk

So, I probably bought it for a non-standard purpose. We have a corner shower, and I had struggled and struggled with the first shower we had installed to get it to not leak, but it always would. Long story, but it resulted in mold... and a new shower. After a few months the new shower started leaking (I hate all varieties of caulk btw....). I finally got desperate and while I know it is not intended for it, I stripped out all the old caulk and ran a bead of this stuff along the edges. While I may regret should I need to take the shower apart some day in the future, I'm lovin' it right now. That shower has not leaked a drop in MONTHS! So super happy. As to this glue... it functioned as designed, and dried clear. It did stink to high heaven for a few days (ventilation advised!). Unlike caulk, I have not had any molding. The only note, and it was totally my fault, is that since it is a bit runny, I put too much on the verticals, it slowly oozed downward (after I'd walked away), and created some puddle piles at the bottom. But I don't care, it cured my leaks.

Amazing stuff

I used this to seal a new transom wood plate that I fabricated and installed on a small 12' aluminum boat for the outboard motor to be mounted on. First use was to laminated two separate pieces of wood together to get the proper thickness. Second use was to seal around the carriage bolts that fasten it to the transom

The only way I could remove the "excess" glue from the two pieces of wood was with a knife and a rotary steel brush (good). This was the only adhesive I found that really said "waterproof...okay to use under water". All other adhesives I found at the big box stores say "waterproof", but in the small print say "not for use submerged".

I highly recommend it if you don't want "whatever" to ever come apart.

Went on well once I got used to its consistency and slowed down its application so it would not run over. Seals well on a 46 year old aluminum boat with leaky seams and rivets. Make sure you brush aluminum shiny and clean with acetone before application.

I had been watching some you-tube videos of people installing the transducers for their Fish Locators inside of the hulls of their Kayaks with this product. I ordered the product and was amazed at how easy it was to work with. I like it because it seems to be easier to work with than some of the other silicone sealants that I have used. After my first fishing trip, I can attest to the fact that the product works perfectly because my transducer did not come loose and works like it was intended.

I love this stuff. I use it to seal electrical connects and water prof the cracks on my trailer. This stuff is uv resistant, not uv proof, so cover it with paint, or something else uv resistant for an additional layer of protection.
