Great fan for the window

This fan has been heavily used by us this summer during the night. Still going strong after 2+ months. It has three speeds, intake + exhaust option and it's easy to handle and install. It's also all white so it looks nice. You also the option to put it directly in the window or put little "feet" so it can stand alone so you can bring it wherever just as long as there is an outlet to plug it in.

Pros
- This fan is quite powerful and I use it every single day, I bought two and both have been going twenty-four seven without issues.
- You can control each fan independently, the speed and the direction of air flow. You do not have to remove the fan from the window to change airflow direction
- The ability to circulate air, having one fan drawing out hot air and the other pulling in fresh air, is a must feature that is the reason I bought this fan in the first place
- It is relatively quiet, I have box fans as well and this is about half the noise level of one of my box fans
- The expanding curtains on the side create a nice seal to keep out pests
- Moves a lot of air, it cools down a fairly large room here in Florida where the heat and humidity are high
- With both fans exhausting outside, it keeps smoke from coming inside through the window

Cons
- It didn't fit under one window when the window was lifted. I engineered a solution by using a curtain rod across the window opening that passes through the notch in the top of the fan to hold it into place. This places the fan on the inside of the window and I cut a piece of pool noodle to cover the gap at the top between the fan and window.
- Sometimes if it is really hot, circulation mode is not powerful enough to overcome the heat, so it requires me to direct both fans to draw out the heat and I place a box fan in the room to create a cross draft. (Not the fault of the fan per say but a limitation)

My thoughts are that this is an excellent window fan, for the price it does what I need it to do and does it without major problems. If your rooms get really hot like mine do, then you may need to supplement another type of fan, like a box fan, to get a good flow of air. Objectively this fan works and that is the important thing.

This review is for the version with digital buttons and temperature settings.

This fan works well and the abilities to switch directions with a button and set a minimum temperature are great. Build quality is acceptable too.

The downsides are:
It's a bit pricey for a window fan. They all seem to be these days though.
The extenders on the ends aren't strong enough to hold up the fan so you can only half extend it if you want to stand this fan on end for a horizontal sliding window.
This doesn't work with any smart outlets or smart plugs. It forgets it's last setting every time the power is cut, so if you want any smart features it's actually better to get the cheaper ones with physical switches on it.

The summary here is that I should have bought the cheaper one. It does all the same things and has physical switches so that one would work with a smart plug.

Worked great and I love the fan. Just be aware that there isn't a way to turn off one side/fan and keep the other side/fan on. My last one had that option, and for some reason I thought this one will have it too, but that was my mistake because the description didn't say it had this option. Still, love the fan and I would buy it again, and I would recommend the seller.

2nd update after trying to get replacement when fan stopped working within 8 months (lowered to 1 star):
Tried to initiate return/replace on website an it would not give me any option, only "self-help troubleshooting". After several attempts, finally connected wth an agent on Online Chat. Agent sent me a YouTube Video on how to lubricate the bearings myself which involves dismantling the fan and removing the motor! Finally determined I needed to call the Amazon Warranty number which is really just Amazon customer service. That agent said my warranty doesn't cover replacement, but I can return for a refund. I told him I need it replaced so the original Extended Warrant I purchased would apply to the replacement. He said he wasn't able to do that and I can attempt to call Assurion and see if they will refund the extended warranty cost.
Then while processing the return, The amount they are going to refund me is $10 LESS than I paid. I asked why and he said he doesn't know. He said I have to wait, return the item, and after the refund is processed I can call back again and see why the refund amount is lower and TRY to get the full amount refunded. I'm so upset at what I have had to go through to get a replacement for an item that I thought was insured for 3 full years- because it is an AMAZON Basics product the extended warranty compamy can't help because it is supposedly still under the Amazon warranty for the first year. But since the won't process a replacement the extended warranty I paid for is invalid, I'll have to order a new fan and purchase another extended warranty for that. Trust me, the new fan I order will NOT be an Amazon Basics product, nor wll I trust any Amazon Basics product warranty again.

Update after 6 months (lowered to 3 stars): just stopped turning on. Went to request replacement and it suggested replacing a tiny fuse in the plug, so after ordering fuses and waiting, I replaced and it still doesn't work.
I purchased a 3 year warranty and would highly recommend anyone do this, it is minimal and ensures you get your money's worth. I still would purchase this fan, it is a godsend helping me sleep at night by pulling in the cool air.

Initial Revew- was 5 stars. I really love the addition of this fan to my bedroom window. I live upstairs so my apartment gets very warm in the afternoon and evenings, and I need it cool to sleep well. This does a great job of bringing the cool air in and cooling down my room. I didn't need a fancy one with a remote control, but wanted the dual fan feature where one can can be set to reverse, to better circulate the air and cool off better.
The noise at higher levels is noticeable but not enough to really bother me, it's just white noise - but I do need to raise the volume of my tv when it's on at night.
My windows are huge and open vertically, so it was important to find a fan that works well "sideways", and this does that.
I would have given 5 stars, but the extender doesn't stay open all the way, with one side higher than the other. This really doesn't make a difference to me since it still wouldn't fit the entire opening, but it might matter to some.
It comes fully assembled, and easily fits my vertical window sideways in front of the screen, I just slide the window flush with the "bottom" to hold it snugly in place.
This is lightweight plastic and the whole unit is light, but I do buy the extended warranty on all my fans just I case, as I've had some broken by electric surges in my apartment.
I do need to figure out the best method to clean it, I try to get fans that can be easily taken apart for a thorough washing but I haven't tried with this.
