Major leakage
This is the second time I've purchased this lemon extract. This time,the bottle was wet enough that the label was sliding off. As you can see from the pictures, the label is still wet. The bottle was enclosed in plastic bag and there was liquid dripping from the bag. When I removed the top, the foil seal wasn't on the bottle but, inside the cap. I have no complaints with the product...just the packaging. The first bottle was perfect.

So far I've been please with this vanilla in my cakes. I do a LOT of baking, and this was priced right for the amount of vanilla you receive. My pound cakes are not lacking in flavor, so I'll keep using it!

The alcohol flavor in this vanilla is so overpowering and even stings the tongue AFTER it's had had time to settle. I am a vanilla freak and a southern cook who knows my stuff. Trust me. Don't try to save money on this product. If you're a long time McCormick customer like me, you'll regret having not bought that instead! (BTW, I use the camelcamelcamel app to alert me to price drops on McCormick, then I stock up because I use vanilla SO much. And, NO, I don't work for that app.)
Recipes I've made using this inferior product include:
*Vanilla ice cream
*Vanilla pudding
*Marshmallows
*Oatmeal
After giving it a fair chance with these recipes, I feel I'm highly qualified to rate it so low.
My son and I worked hard to make marshmallows for our bonfire tomorrow night and now I'll have to make another batch because these are trash. They taste like alcohol with minimal vanilla flavor, UNLIKE last week's batch which was a 5/5 rating (I used McCormick that time.)
I don't have time for things like this, Amazon. Shame on you!
I sadly missed my return window, so now I'm mad at Amazon for making such a ripoff of a product.
