I’m almost 68 years old and been a martial artist for over 1/2 century.
Well with old age comes aches and pains (arthritis). Asked for pain medicine and was told to take NSAIDs (Aspirin, Tylenol, ibuprofen, etc. Those mess up my stomach and found an Ayurvedic recipe.
4 tablespoons turmeric
3 tablespoons cinnamon
2 tablespoons Ginger
1/2 tsp black pepper
The first three are anti inflammatory.
The pepper is there because the chemical Piperine in pepper helps your body absorb more of the curcumins in the turmeric.
This doesn’t get rid of all the pain but it DOES RELIEVE the pain to where I can still go about my days and run errands. A year ago when I was in hospital with Covid-19. My days started with “Oh God I hate mornings” with pain level at an 8 in both knees, left shoulder and left elbow
This spice blend brings the pain level down to a 1 or 2. I now usually walk 1 1/2 - 2 miles before breakfast.
There’s several ways to take this spice blend.
Make a tea
Mix with honey and make a thick paste
Put in a 2 oz bottle with honey, lemon juice and water. An easy shot to start your day. I only use 1 teaspoon of this blend a day.
Fair warning I didn’t notice this doing a lot for the pain level until I had taken it daily for two weeks
