Ordered a 2XL. WAY too big. There was easily 8 inches of excess material at the waist. I liked the shirt, so I asked for an exchange to an XL. Received that today. Too small. I'd say I'm between sizes, but given the huge difference in these adjoining sizes, the issue has to be poor sizing. Decent shirt, but not wearable. Amazon gets both back.

Really a great deal for the price. Purchased a large straight fit for my brother who is 6’ 4,” 185 lbd, (other brands normally wears a large/tall) average build. I was so pleased with the fit & quality that I purchased a medium in slim fit for my father who is 6,’ about 165 lbs, slim build, which also matched expectations. Washed pretty well, after hanging to dry, just slightly rumpled looking, no shrinking. For a crisp & tidy look, definitely needs ironing, but being that it’s a linen/cotton blend appropriate for summer, little rumpled looks fine for casual wear.

I am a woman, I purchased this men's shirt because the gingham pattern and color would suite a look I was going for (dressing as Dorthy from the Wizard of OZ for spirit week "Favorite Movie Day" at my job). I would say that the sizing/fit is true to size ( I USED THE SIZE CHART TO SELECT THE BEST SIZE FOR ME) I got a men's large ( I normally wear a ladies XL in tops). The shirt was comfortable and well made. Arrived quick with prime. I will probably give this to my son (15 year old), now that I have worn it. I will make a nice shirt with some khaki shorts for him this summer. Overall good deal and fit with a great price.

This shirt is exactly what I expected - except for the quality, which may be better than I expected for the price.
Of course, being linen, it is super comfortable for these hot summer days. And, of course, it looks somewhat rumpled after washing. It is the wearer's choice whether to iron it every time to have it looking super sharp when you first put it on, only to be wrinkled in short order (like the first time you sit down) or just to accept it as a "natural" look for linen and enjoy as is. I prefer the latter. I think it still looks pretty classy with some nice shorts for any summer outing or outdoor party and is quite comfortable just to wear around the house. I would definitely buy another in a different color when they go on discount again.

I am a larger guy and also super sensitive to shirt materials and dyes--I get hot very easily with the wrong shirt or even the wrong color/dye in the summertime. Because of this, I struggle to find comfortable shirts that will not get me overheated.

This linen/cotton mix shirt from Amazon Essentials is just what I have been looking for! So far I have purchased both the blue/white and the green/white and they are super comfortable. I have walked around Manhattan in the sweltering, humid 90+ degree days and these shirts kept me cool with their breathability.

For me, shirts this comfortable are hard to find. I am thinking about buying a few more, even in the same colorways, just to make sure that I have a clean one on hand at all times.

One other thing....about the sizing. I got the XXL, which is probably the right size for me. The shirt seems to make me look thinner LOL! I mean, I can't complain about that, right? I can't really say that the XXL is too large, but the way it's cut seems to hide the midsection a bit better than other shirts.

So we have a shirt that looks super nice, keeps you cool in the summer (against all odds-- in my case LOL!), and makes you look thinner. Now that's a 5 star product if I have ever seen one!

I needed to upgrade a few things for my husband, so I ordered this shirt for him to wear on semi-special occasions, like church or out to dinner. I really like the tail-less shirts that don't need to be tucked in, but they are ridiculously priced. This shirt serves just as well for a minimal cost. Nice material, good fit. It makes my 68 year old husband look a bit more up to date!

I bought this item form Christmas for my brother. He usually wears XL, but it was too big, so I exchange it for a L. I was really surprised to see how nice it fit, and the nice quality of the fabric. Soft, idea for South Florida weather year round. Colors are just like in the picture. I would recommend everyone to try Amazon Basics. Prices are incredible, and quality is very good.

Buying clothes online is a gamble unless your buying from a company who you know and whose sizing remains a constant. I took a gamble here and it seemed to have paid off. I was looking for a loose fit, bright coloured, smart shirt for an upcoming holiday, and this fitted the bill.

Quality
I found the shirt to be of good quality particularly at this price. All buttons were firmly sewn to the shirt. There were no stray pieces of cotton and the stitching appears to be spot on. The colour of this shirt is light blue/turquoise - so this fitted my requirements.

There was an odour to the shirt, but a normal wash removed that. The shirt isn't thin like cotton, I think its more of a thicker material like a heavy weight t-shirt, think Fruit of the Loom or Gidan.

Fitting & sizing
I found the shirt to be comfortable, not too loose or too tight, particularly when sitting. The length of the arms and the over all length of the shirt was good and I didn't feel like I was wearing a night gown. To help you make a decision, I wear 18.5" / 19" colored shirts, this usually equates to a chest size of between 52-54". I'm 6.3 and a waist of 42".

Conclusion
Good price, nice garment would buy again, if there were more designs added.
*I did purchase another shirt, from the same lineup, this time it was the natural stripe and I would echo the above comments except the colour choice.
