This is a realistic story of what happens to B movie stars that are unable to give up the big screen. Hopes and dreams strive against reality as a middle aged actress struggles to regain the limelight. You will follow along with one actress as she journeys to decide just how much getting a part means to her. How far will she go? What will she sacrifice on the altar of the big screen? The answer will either surprise or distress you. I recommend giving it a watch.

There are no car chases, nothing blows up, and this is not a sappy rom-com. It is an amazingly good movie that has a stinging bite of reality. If you've never been to L.A., this movie is exactly what it is like; the settings and the characters are spot on. April Telek is painfully poignant as the 40-year-old B-movie actress desperately trying to fight her decline. I wasn't even expecting to watch the entire movie but I did and I would highly recommend it for those who don't like the usual Hollywood crap.

Yeah, I'm a dude who's been in LA for awhile and the film is pretty spot-on. I've been the young performer guy with the older woman a few times and I've been the male version of the lead in terms of struggling.

Flip side of this film, though, is that even doing B-film lead work in Hollywood is pretty great. That's more than 99.999% of people can say they've done with their lives, in my opinion.

Yeah, the lady is shown as apparently doing a trick in the end -- a guy who probably turns in to her husband after awhile, based on what I've seen working in Beverly Hills. Hey, it could be worse for the lady -- it could be Kansas City...

Realistic in an uncomfortable way because of the great acting, timing: directing & editing. I couldn't help from recalling Lana Clarkson, though unfortunately it is her murderer's name that will be most recalled, Phil Spector. The 40y.o. actress didn't even have a wrinkle to stress about! But she still was not the nymphet they all cast in older roles & just ADD wrinkles. I wish this wasn't the real situation. Just being on a movie site and contemplating the incredible number of movies made by an incredible number of actors & actresses that we will never see again. It is mind boggling! Even just seeing the number in lead roles that are never seen again is too much. Just fodder for the machine.

This film had several flaws, including the script (some of the dialogue was cheesey and not realistic, some of the scenes were not necessary to drive the plot), but I found the story, main character, and the acting quite compelling. As an actress in NY, I found this film quite depressing, but also a realistic cautionary tale of how your life can turn out if you stay in Hollywood for too long. If you like realistic, sad dramas, character studies, and films about the dark side of Hollywood, then you will probably enjoy this.

Really predictable, bad acting and depressing movie. The lead star a very bad role model and most of the plot didn't make much sense. Don't waste any time watching it, you will end up depressed and upset.

I enjoyed this movie. Sometimes when one strives to achieve career goals in difficult industries like show business the outcome is not always pretty.
