Have problems with movies stopping. Have to unregister and re-register your device with Amazon every couple months to get it working correctly again. Started up again two months ago and can not get it corrected this time. Will stop and start a movie up to a dozen time while trying to watch. Insane!

This stupid service fails nearly every time I try to use it. I've had to call Tech Support several times just to have them tell me to log out, or for them to reset a setting, or whatever the issue is that time around. I HATE even thinking about considering using this service any more, for all the trouble it has given me. It has been nothing BUT trouble, and certainly not worth any money at all. A terrible service, a terrible app, and terrible customer service. All-in-all this must be Amazon's biggest failure to date. Why not just get it right, folks? SHAME ON AMAZON FOR HAVING SUCH A TERRIBLE SERVICE AVAILABLE TO PAYING CUSTOMERS!

I hate when I get a new phone. Trying to download this app. onto my phone is very very difficult. It should be offered on Goggle play for android. I have to search very hard to find it again. Then... it is almost impossible to download it... again. Can Anyone PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO DOWNLOAD this App , again Onto my new phone?. The video quality is excellent! It sucks that I can NOT DOWNLOAD the movies I bought here. I want to save them on my tablet just like I can with Vudu.

Seriously petty, I'm not buying your stupid fire stick you can forget it. I may just cancel prime since Netflix works just fine. Update, I found a hack to get Kodi to stream to Chromecast. Amazon is now even more obsolete.

This service is a disappointment. It is billed a a competition to Netflix. And since we're already paying for our Prime subscription, I would have loved to be able to cancel our Netflix subscription based on the fact that Amazon Prime Video does the same thing.
I could not. These two services are not comparable at all. Netflix is good, this Amazon service sucks.

Here's why: the whole idea behind the Amazon Prime Instant Video service is to sucker you into purchasing or at least "renting" a video. Yes, there are videos available for "free" viewing. Typically the type of trash you would find at the closeout bin in a DVD store. Anything, anything, you could develop a vague interest in watching will cost you extra money. This is totally ridiculous.

Like so many other have commented, the process in convoluted and annoying. You must go through a number of steps to install, including downloading Amazon separate and not equal appstore. As another user wrote:

Step 1: Install Amazon app.
Step 2: Install Amazon Appstore app which requires changing security preferences to allow apps installed from unknown sources, which leaves your phone vulnerable to malware.
Step 3: Go back to the Amazon app and pull up a video you want to watch.
Step 4: Get kicked back over to the Amazon Appstore to install the Instant Video plugin.
Step 5: Go back to Amazon app and finally play your video.

All this so I can use a subscription that I already pay for. It is disappointing that Amazon, who leads in several other ways, is forcing their appstore down people's throats because it hasn't got enough play (no pun intended) by itself.

I tried to stream Prime Video Movie on my MX Set top box streaming device. When I log in to my Amazon Prime account and select a movie, it shows a green bar that says "watch it" when you click on it ....nothing...comes back to same page..same button. So I downloaded it..Then clicked on the download to play it.. Still will not play..Apparently the Amazon Prime Video is meant to work on Roku/Fire or Apple devices only and does not work on other popular streaming Set Top Boxes like MX. The worst part of the problem is there is no clear directions anywhere on Amazon website to resolve this problem. One place tells you that if after downloading Amazon Prime, if it does not work then try restarting your device or uninstall and re-install the Prime Video...Tried all still does not work...Will have to just cancel my Prime membership. So sad.

Paying a membership fee to Amazon Prime is not worth the videos, movies and television shows in my families book. Prime allows you special perks and privileges regular members do not. The "included in Prime" movies, television series and sitcoms majority of the are the least watched and frankly one hit wonders. The shows, you want to see, require you to pay an additional "rental fee." Normally three bucks. I thought this is why I am paying a "membership fee?" I mean you don't pay a membership for Sam's Club or Cosco just to get in an hour earlier than everyone else just to pay full retail for popular items. You receive special perks being a member. So why does Amazon promote this feature only to disappoint its viewers?

I'm sorry Amazon video, I really am. It's true that I mostly got the whole prime thing to watch The Grand Tour, but also to see what you've got besides that.... And the answer is nothing. Not only don't you have anything that isn't already on either of the other two streaming services, you have the absolute worst way of trying to even browse genres to try to find things to watch.

After months of using this service, I have found absolutely no convenient way of trying to find anything to watch, there's a hand full of browsing options and they all give you the same fairly crappy list of movies to scroll through. In addition, half of what I found that might be semi worth watching (and I really had to look very hard) cost money in addition to the prime membership... Do yourselves a favor, get a hulu or Netflix membership for just one month and see what they're doing right that you aren't.... Because you aren't.... Then once you figure out how to actually organise your video selection, get something worth watching. It doesn't have to be anything new or amazing, just see what the other guys aren't streaming and stream it. Any of the pirates of the carribean would be nice (or most any Disney movies at all), maybe stream The Polar Express or A Muppets Christmas Carol during Christmas, maybe the second seasons/spinoffs of the anime the other guys don't have, you guys would make a killing if you got your hands on some of the rights to stream any of the long standing cult classic or old blockbuster films just about everybody at some point In time gets in the mood to watch , ie. The labyrinth, Fifth Element, City of Lost Children, The Rocketeer, Drunken Master, Fight Club, Ghost Busters, the original Ninja Turtles, Rockey Horror, Karate Kid, hell even The Mighty Ducks would probably pull in somesome regular streamers ( seems like older blockbusters and cult classics are virtually non existent on either of the other services, apart from one of them finally getting The Princess Bride, which is insane as that's what most people actually sit down to watch still), really just try to get your hands on virtually ANYTHING that isn't a D- rated Asian soap opera drama.

Whoever's running this thing right now doesn't seem to understand any aspect of streaming, movie browsing, or movies in general. Total trash and now that the Grand Tour is over I'm giving up my prime membership. Next season I'll just wait till the whole thing is out and stream for a single month, the whole rest of it isn't even worth the monthly membership....

Trying to get this work for an Android phone is so confusing and annoying. I am tech savvy but the whole process in order to watch Amazon Prime Video on my phone was sooo difficult. Amazon needs to make an easier and less confusing way to do this! I thought I had it figured out and downloaded, but then when I tried to watch the show I wanted (which is free with Amazon Prime that I have), it said the episode was a couple of dollars. I thought that maybe I wasn't logged in, and so maybe that was the reason it was saying the episode was going to cost money. But no, I was logged in and I couldn't figure out how to watch the tv show for free (and yes I know it is included with Amazon Prime - I watch the show everyday on my computer). I ended up deleted the app (or whatever it is), because I couldn't get it to work - such a hassle! There has to be an easier way to watch what is included with Amazon Prime. Also, the permissions are a bit ridiculous!
