I have a bunch of styluses, but most of them don't work well to start with or crack and mess up over time. This one was bought on July 16, 2012 and has performed well for FIVE YEARS!!! For the last year it has been hanging in our car to use on the touchscreen for the nav system, and it continues to work every time. This has to be a record! Love the string, it has been very handy.

I'm sort of a quirky fellow, and one of my idiosyncrasies happens to pertain to the world of stylus pens. I've owned hundreds. I've seen all the various marketing strategies that companies push through in an effort to foist their product on a gullible public, packaging mediocre products as innovations in pointer stick technology...for $25 apiece.

Amazon isn't guilty of this. Their mediocre product is about $6, but when I opened the obscenely large box in which this disappointing piece of cheap plastic was contained, I knew that I'd been had. The color and design are nice, but it's too short for such lightweight plastic. The balance isnt there. The tip is kinda nice, but it takes more than that to be worth $6.

There are much better options out there

I had no idea what kind of stylus to purchase and I decided to start with an Amazon Basic. I am very glad I did.
First, the price is right. It is smart looking and well made. If works perfectly on my IPad Pro, which makes me wonder why others have had any issues with it.
I like that it has 3 tips, one on each end, which I suppose will make it last longer. I am very happy with my purchase.

I removed a star from the rating because after much usage the tip sometimes does not make contact with the screen. This is very annoying. I thought perhaps the tip or screen was dirty, but after cleaning I still get the problem every so often.
If it gets worse I will update my review.

Just a quick update to let others know the contact issue has not gotten any worse, and it appears not all the stylus have this issue. I bought another pack of 4 and all of those work perfectly. If you get a good one I think you will be very happy, but quality control is important. Still, now that I tried about 5 different brands, I find the working ones are my go to stylus, unless I need a pen (which would be a great addition to this item). Also, this stylus has a bit more weight to it then the others I purchased, and I find these more comfortable to use.
I noticed some people are having issues with a loose cap. I have bought 12 of these and luckily I have not yet had that issue.

I bought the 1st gen Amazon Basics Stylus, the 3-pack Executive Stylus and the Amazon Basics Multi-Tip (3 tips, different sizes with lid). You can see them all in my pictures. They are all smaller than a Sharpie. I prefer the Amazon Basics Multi-Tip Stylus because I get 3 tip sizes in one stylus for half the price of this pack and one of the tips is protected with the lid. However, if I were going to carry it on a shirt”s pocket, the Executive Stylus is the smartest and the lightest. I notice it requires the same pressure as with an index finger for efficiency. The tips are all flexible. I find the 1st gen basics stylus the least versatile. The tip is too thick and it’s the shortest. They are all stylus, capacitative, no ink pens added.

One of the rare times that I bought a product without reading the review. But then again I thought that since it was an Amazon basics product they would have done a quality check. Obviously not! It's clumsy and the tip can hardly be called a tip. It's a rubbery ball and also shakes when trying to draw with it. The lines are not fine and one has to apply a lotof pressure .. in other words AVOID this product. Especially because it's non refundable too..will be extra careful about buying Amazon basics in future.

A pack of 3 good quality stylus pens that I use on my Samsung devices without any problems. At approx. 12 cm they're about the same length as a biro pen and comfortable to hold onto while moving around a screen. I like the silicone tip which is quite soft and responsive without having to use force and is useful in keeping away scratches and finger marks. I've used these pens before and found them reliable and long lasting.

Having long nails is not good when mobile phones, Tablets, IPads etc are mainly touch screen.

I purchased this Basics Stylus to use with my Kindle, Mobile and Tablet. I just wanted something cheap and cheerful that does the job. This Amazon stylus has delivered on everything.

It is very light weight with a little rubber end which I find works perfectly and what’s worth the full 5 Stars is it doesn’t leave smudges or finger prints on the screen. I’ve been using it daily for six months now and it is still going strong therefore £9.99 well spent.

From my experience with this Stylus I totally recommend it.

To make my world easier .. It is a marvel to me . Pretty Good Stylus

This is a really nice little stylus. I chose this one specifically because it has three tips of varying sizes. I like the smooth matt black finish, it fits easily in the hand and resembles a neat little pen. My only gripe at this stage is the price... I think £13 is more than a bit steep. If you have the cash laying around then no problem but you can get a functional stylus at a lower price if you're not interested in the three different tips.
