This cable is honestly the best I had , its even better than the one that originally comes with the phone , its quality is very high and its thick meaning that there is more insulation or in other words a safer charger .
The price is very cheap , if I were to give this product a price , it wouldn't be less than the cost of the original cable that you buy from the apple shop in fact , this charger is 3 times cheaper .
Charging Speed :
This charger uses relatively thicker cables and speaking as an engineer , thicker cables means that more current is being passed or faster charging .
What I like most :
This charger is smooth on the edges , unlike the original cable that comes with the phone which has a very sharp edges , and its very well protected and insulated . The original charger after long periods of usage just get teared up baring the wires which makes it not safe for use but for this cable , I have used it for almost 3 years and still looks like new .
I truly recommend this product for all apple users because it functions well and way better than the original cable . And on the other hand , its 3 times cheaper .
In the past I bought Apple OEM cables, but as our family's herd of Apple devices has grown I have started searching for, and buying Apple cables that are not made by Apple - as Apple cables are just too expensive.
These Amazon Apple cables are ***CERTIFIED*** for Apple products, which is what you want to purchase. Lightning connectors are built to a very tight tolerance, and if it's Certified by Apple you can feel comfortable they're likely to fit, to work correctly. A company has to PAY Apple to certify a cable, it's not an automatic or free process.
So here we have very affordable, and Apple certified lightning cables - and as they're Amazon you can be sure that when they say Certified, they aren't some tiny company selling cables as "Certified", when they're really not.
The cables themselves are very well made. The connectors are solid, no shoddy build or sharp edges. They're also very "bendy", very supple if you will. Often inexpensive USB/Lightning cables aren't very bendy, they're tight and not supple. Cheap cables almost feel like a plastic bag twist tie, these cables do NOT feel like a plastic bag twist tie!
I'd buy these again and recommend to friends and family.
It's been over a month now, usually this is the time when the other knock off cables start to have issues, and the cable works perfectly with my iPad(s) and our iPhones.
When it comes to cables, you could write your review about the color, styling, or material, but for an Apple Lightning cable, are you should really care about is how it works. This little cable, although, still expensive knowing it cost $0.50 to make and deliver to the warehouse (including Apple licensing fees), works perfectly for more than half off the Apple OEM product.
At the end of the day, it just works. Go ahead and buy it.
After almost a year now I'm changing my rating to 4 stars. My original cable was having problem charging as well and I thought it's the problem of my phone. Yesterday I was cleaning my keyboard with air can and thought I give the phone an air blow as well and saw a tiny particle blown out from the socket, then I plug the phone with Amazon cable and it changed right away with no connection problem at all. Now I know for over a year what's been causing the connecting and charging problem.
