There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
On the left and right sides, there are little flap pockets that might be big enough for a very small water bottle but are mostly just for tripod feet and small cleaning cloths, etc.
I like the amazonbasics zipper pulls. They seem easy to grip and pull. The outside fabric feels strong enough to survive being tossed around. The top handle seems to be stitched well enough on mine but I've seen the other reviews that said theirs have ripped out. I'll try to be mindful of that as I use it.
There are two larger pockets on the front flap. There's one on the outside of the flap (horizontal zipper) and one inside the flap (first arched zipper across the top). The outer one goes all the way down and is just a pocket. The inner one is even bigger and has multiple little flaps and dividers, kind of like a school backpack.
There are two buckle straps on one side to hold a tripod. They are adjustable and should fit any tripod (or at least can be snaked through a bigger tripod).
The shoulder straps are adjustable and seem to have plenty of padding. There is a chest buckle that can slide up and down the shoulder straps. The buckle connectors only have about an inch of adjustability but also have a little bit of elastic stretch to them.
It also has a waist strap. It is adjustable and feels secure enough. Right away, I can tell that it won't fit around my waist but that's not unusual for me.
Opening up the main compartment, I see that the top flap has two clear plastic/mesh dividers, each with a zipper pull cover so as not to damage any gear below.
The actual camera gear area has soft, semi-rigid dividers that feel substantial enough to prevent damage. There are enough dividers and they are arranged in a useful way and still customizable to your liking. As others have said, they come upside down, i.e., the camera would be at the bottom of the backpack whereas most want the camera near the top. It's an easy fix. I moved the dividers around so my camera would be on top.
I have the Nikon Z 5, the kit 24-200 mm lens, an 85mm lens, a 50mm lens, an FTZ adapter, a flash, flash trigger, and a battery charger in the main compartment. I have cleaning cloths, a cleaning kit, lens filters, SD cards, miscellaneous cords in the other pockets. Still feels like I could fit a little more stuff in it.
I like this camera backpack, especially because I got mine as an open item/used for a much lower price. It looked brand new to me. It feels like it will last long enough and keep my gear safe. Seems easy to carry and wear.
Before you purchase a pack for your camera gear, you have to decide WHY you want the pack. If you want to hike into the boonies for an overnight camera shoot, this is NOT the pack for you. It is too small. This pack has no room for overnight gear.
If you want to carry all possible gear to be able to photograph anything that comes down the trail, this may not be the pack for you. It is too small. Consider wheeled photo case for this type of job.
If you want a pack to carry your camera body, a couple of extra lenses, maybe a flash and a few other assorted must-have goodies, keep reading. You may have found your pack. I consider this pack to be an ideal size. On most trails, I only need a wide-angle lens for the scenics, a telephoto lens (and maybe a tele-extender) for wildlife, and a macro lens. This all fits into the pack nicely, along with a sandwich, trail mix, a 16-oz coffee cont
