A popular resistance tool for strength training, the exercise rope engages the hands, arms, shoulders, back, core, and even the legs (when squats are incorporated) for a full-body workout. Use the rope to sculpt muscles, improve endurance, kick the cardio up a notch, and burn calories. It can also increase reaction time and metabolic rate.
The exercise rope offers exceptional versatility. In addition to the familiar undulation exercises, the rope can also be used for pulling or climbing exercises, whether alone or as part of a team.
The three-strand-thick exercise rope features a durable polyester blend with high tensile strength to prevent breakage and fraying. The heavy-duty exercise rope can be used indoors or out, and it offers reliable, long-lasting performance, so you can keep the focus on your workout.
The rope’s flexible design makes it easy to roll up and take almost anywhere—from home to the gym, park, or beach and back again. All that’s needed is a stable anchor, like a tree or a pole, and it’s ready to go. It can also be rolled up and stored out of the way when not in use.

In order to increase the difficulty of the workout, I bought the 2-inch rope and am really satisfied.
I also bought a hook kit so my rope could be hooked around my racks in my garage with all the supplies on them and not get any damage.
The ropes are really nice quality and have become my favorite addition to my gym.
They were much cheaper than a lot of the ropes out there and are fantastic quality. Buy these if you're looking to get into the battle ropes game.
I opted for this cheaper rope (I use a Rogue at the gym but I wanted a rope at home to use on off days). I usually buy quality (buy once, cry once) but for this I decided not to since it's just a Big Friggin Rope™ and I wasn't positive I would use it a ton.
This rope is supple and really heavy. I'm used to a 1.5 rope, but decided to buy the 2" and OMFG the increased diameter makes sets brutal.
I strongly suspect this rope will fray pretty hard over time (the strands are VERY soft), especially since I use it outside for the most part. I'm not worried though because if I use it enough to wear it out, I'll be able to justify the price for a higher quality jacketed rope.
So what's the caveat? The rope came to me with a number of snagged threads. There's already a photo here in Enj79's review, so check that out if you're curious. Mine looks exactly like hers, so I'm guessing it's not a super unusual issue.
But I honestly don't really care… it's just a big friggin rope, and so far it hasn't exploded or anything.

I consider the qualifying factors: weight, diameter, quality of weave and quality of the cut ends/hand area.
Weight is good. These are heavy. Very very heavy. Be careful when ordering
Diameter - full 50mm
Weave - staring to fray in places after only a very short amount of use. Whether this deteriorates remains to be seen
Cut end quality - a nice rubberised heat shrink cap on the cut ends completes these nicely
Overall a very good battle rope, I just need to gain about 20kg of muscle to be able to get started
The quality seems really good for the price. I've had no frays or anything like that, it's stayed in one piece after a decent amount of use. The plastic handles also feel good in hand.
Amazon basics are really stepping it up with their equipment. Can recommend.
