****Update Dec. 8****
Since many people are asking: It works with any bluetooth enabled device that supports HID (which 99% of the devices out there supports already). I have tested it with iPad 2, iPhone 4S, Windows 7 laptop, Macbook Pro, Blackberry Playbook and Asus Transformer.
One big minor problem; the arrow keys are too small for most adult hands.
If you use it a lot for editing (in writing articles), this may be not for you.
I just began to use it for my 2014 macbook pro, since I use laptop stand, and it works fine. It uses two AAA batteries, and they are not included, though. The keyboard is a lit small even for my small hands, but I chose to use this one over others because...
1. This one has "`" key which is essential to a mac user. (for switching windows of the same application)
2. this one has also "ESC" key which is often needed.
3. it has right control, which is useful for forward delete when used with karabiner.
I normally don't write reviews but I did for this one only because there seems to be no one who wrote about using it with macbook pro.
This was a great buy for the price. The keyboard is very compact (around the size of the Apple keyboard, give or take) and has a high-quality, reflective finish on the cover. Keys press with a high-quality feel and there is very little chatter to them. Some of the buttons (particularly the Control) took me some time to get used to as the keyboard was smaller than the full-sized one it replaced, but overall I'm very happy.
The keyboard came with two well-hidden AAA batteries in the cardboard box that I almost disposed of inadvertently, but paired very easily to my PS4 once it was turned on. It sits just slightly raised at the top on a flat surface - I would've liked to have been able to prop it up more, but that's a small complaint I can easily overlook. There are no USB dongles you need to plug in - this is a completely Bluetooth-only keyboard.
The other thing I found myself missing was backlighting, but I certainly don't expect an entry-level keyboard to have that as an option. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase and want to confirm to others that this product absolutely DOES work for the Sony PlayStation 4 and is a great alternative to more expensive options for the casual gamer.
I'm quite happy. I take the keyboard with me wherever I take the iPad now, and it has held up just fine. In over a month of steady use, the 3 AAA batteries that came with it are still holding strong.
Update: Feb 13 2012: Still loving this keyboard. Works great, and has held up well. I did just have a weird quirk. All of the sudden, several keys along the middle of the keyboard stopped working. I ended up deleting the device on the iPad and repairing it, and everything seems fine.
Update: Feb 17 2012: Well, it seems my quirk was actually a failing keyboard. A couple days after I had the issue mentioned above, it came back, but this time repairing didn't fix it. It appears that 2 columns of keys have failed in the middle of the keyboard.
THE GOOD NEWS though is that Amazon customer service completely blew my mind. I started a chat to have the item replaced. The rep offered to send me a new one overnight. I was prepared to have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get the keyboard replaced, but the rep just immediately offered to send a new one. It was all taken care of in less than 5 minutes.
Great job Amazon, I'm impressed.
Update: Nov 29 2012: My replacement has been running great since February. Very happy with this keyboard.
