I like these shelves. Sturdy pine and low cost. It was a good buy. Please note though that I recommend two people to assemble this item. I was one person trying to get this assembled and boy, did I have a hard time. Putting this together was like building a house of cards. One has to first, get the bottom board out and then put the three dividers on it. They are only held in place by dowels. Then, you have to put the middle board on top of the three dividers and repeat with three more dividers and finally the top board. Again the shelving, at this stage, is only held together by dowels and gravity. As one can imagine, as with a house of cards it collapsed at the slightest bump. Aggravating, to say the least. A second person would have been helpful to keep the shelves collapsing until I got the screws in place. Still very nice shelves for the price. Sturdy (once secured with the screws).

I seriously love this shelf! It’s the perfect height for my 14 month old twin boys, they use it to pull up, they stick their heads in the cubbies, and it’s very sturdy. It was beyond easy to put together too, the instructions say two people are needed but I did it alone and didn’t have trouble. The instructions are only pictures, so no words at all so that could be tricky for somebody people, but I think it’s pretty easy to figure out. I would definitely purchase more furniture by amazon basics.

I was super excited to get this to organize my daughter's room. I had to wait a couple days after it was delivered to have time to put it together. I didn't realize how much time I would need to wait because when I opened the box it was lacking any hardware to put it together. I tried to find a way to contact someone that I needed the hardware shipped to me quickly, but it seems all I can do is return it or write a review. Very sad. I still want the piece, but I don't know what size screws to use on it. Having a special needs child, I really can't make trips back and forth to the hardware store in order to find what I need.
