Ordered to replace a similar hand held grater. Unfortunately this one didn't work out. It's more like a zester really. The depth of the grate is very thin. Grating cheese for example takes a long time and makes thin tiny curly pieces. I already have a grater that does that and was not what I was looking for. Given the image and the width of the holes I was expecting it to grate larger pieces. Will likely donate it to goodwill and get a different one.

This review is for the extra course grater. If you’re just looking to grate cheese, this is likely okay. I bought this with the intent to rice cauliflower. Unfortunately while the width of the grates is good, the depth isn’t enough. You get wide, thin shreds of cauliflower instead of thicker, coarser pieces.

This grater works well for harder cheeses. I tried grating a block of mozzarella but the teeth are a bit too small for it - so if you want a grater for mozzarella, go with large teeth. This works better for cheddar or other harder cheeses. This grater works great as long as you know this

So the upsides - The grater itself is wonderful. I tried ginger on it and it worked beautifully. The downside is that the one corner of the grater detached from the arm of the grater the first time I used it. Not very well made or soldered or whatever. Bummed.

I had been after a hand grater for a long time. I used to have one of those pyramid looking ones but I felt a lot of dirt and old food would collect on the cracks and no matter how much you scrubbed or for how long you soaked it, it wouldn't come off so I ended up binning my old one.
This one is great. I generally use mine to grate cheese but I have grated carrots with it too for salads and it worked a charm. The grater is very sharp and works well with every item I have used on it. It has a cover so that when you put it in your cupboard, it is safe. The handles are very well-made and they're easy to get a grip on them, I don't feel like it'll slip off my hand.
I had waited for a while to find a good hand grater and this is definitely amazing. Easy to use and hold. As usual, Amazon Basics delivering high quality products at a good price. I recommend this.

For a basic hand grater, this is pretty good. It's fairly robust, I've grated a variety of fruit and vegetables, including carrots and potato, plus apple and cheese. It's handled them all well, I'm pleased to say. It washes easily and the plastic guard just slips back on. It's an excellent price, and I like the fact that you can hang it up instead of shoving it in a drawer. It's one of those things that you don't realise you need until you have one.

Insgesamt schlägt sich diese Küchenreibe, verglichen mit meiner fast gleich großen Reibe einer bekannten amerikanischen Firma für Präzisions-Schneidewerkzeuge, sehr gut. Vor allem, wenn man sieht, dass das Marken-Produkt dreimal soviel kostet, wie die Reibe von AmazonBasics.

Die Verarbeitung finde ich sehr gut in Edelstahl rostfrei mit einem weichen rutschfesten Griff für sicheren Halt.
Die 27 Schneideklingen sind sehr scharf und werden bei Nichtbenutzung durch eine aufsteckbare Schutzabdeckung aus Kunststoff abgedeckt, um Verletzungen beim Griff in die Küchenschublade zu verhindern.
Dass die Abdeckung in der Mitte aber ein ovales Loch (4 cm • 2 cm) hat, finde ich dabei kontraproduktiv, was die Sicherheit angeht. Etwas unverständlich, zumal ein Aufkleber auf der Abdeckung in roter Schrift und in mehreren Sprachen extra auf die scharfen Klingen hinweist, die nicht berührt werden sollten.

Gut finde ich wiederum die beiden Kunststoffstreifen, die oben und unten die Reibefläche abschließen um Verletzungen bei der Benutzung zu vermeiden.
Achtung:
Die Gummiummantelung des Fußes, die beim Aufsetzen auf der Arbeitsfläche für Rutschfestigkeit sorgt, ist nach dem Abwaschen der Reibe unter Wasser etwas locker, zieht sich aber nach kurzer Zeit wieder fest (das ist bei meiner anderen Reibe aber auch der Fall).
Die Reibe ist aber auch spülmaschinenfest und nimmt dabei keinen Schaden, außer, dass der Edelstahl nach dem Entnehmen aus dem Spüler leichte Wasserflecken aufwies.

Das Reiben von festen Lebensmitteln wie z.B. Käse oder auch Kartoffeln gelingt sehr gut, das Ergebnis kann sich ohne Frage sehen lassen. Äpfel lassen sich weniger gut in grobe Streifen reiben, das Ergebnis ist eher breiig. Das kann meine andere Reibe etwas besser.
Die Reibefläche selbst drückt sich bei der Anwendung etwas durch, was aber nicht störend ist bzw. das Ergebnis nicht beeinflusst.

Insgesamt handelt es sich um eine gute Reibe, die das macht wozu man sie benötigt, nämlich feste Lebensmittel von Hand in eine grobe Substanz zu reiben. Und auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist dabei wirklich gut.

È una grattugia in acciaio inox della linea Amazon basic, lunga 30cm e larga circa 8cm, ha il manico grigio con inserto in verde, risulta essere di qualità e fa egregiamente il suo lavoro.

Arriva in una confezione semplice per quanto robusta, che garantisce protezione al prodotto tenendolo ben fermo all'interno.

Subito dall'apertura al tatto si avverte la qualità, il manico è solido ed antiscivolo, il corpo per grattugiare è ampio in acciò inox, le lame sono ben affiliate, tanto da rendere necessario un copri lama per evitare spiacevoli sorprese una volta risposta nel cassetto.
All'estremità ha un piano d'appoggio rivestito in plastica leggermente curvo, che permette stabilità e al tempo stesso non permette alla lama di andare a contatto sul piano d'appoggio, ciò garantisce una migliore esperienza d'uso nonché igiene.
Il manico presenta anche un buco, nel caso in cui si voglia appendere.

Sì può lavare tranquillamente in lavastoviglie, ma trovo l'operazione al quanto superflua, basta infatti passarla sotto il rubinetto per averla di nuovo pulita e pronta all'uso. Questo grazie ai fori larghi.
Niente più formaggio incastrato nei fori stretti, e soprattutto niente più spugnetta distrutta e peletti incastrati ovunque.

💡 Consigli
Asciugatela bene dopo averla lavata , facendo attenzione alla lama, ciò eviterà i classici aloni antiestetici dell'acqua.
Si può usare non solo con i formaggio ma anche con qualsiasi verdura a pasta dura, per ottime insalate.

⭐ Conclusioni
Per l'esperienza d'uso molto positiva, non posso che ritenermi soddisfatto, il prezzo 11,73€ è assolutamente adeguato alla qualità del prodotto e la consiglio a tutti quelli che cercano praticità e qualità in cucina.
