The box spring arrived in three days and took 45 minutes from opening the box to zipping on the cover. I did use a rubber mallet to lock a few pieces; otherwise, no tools are needed. I put it together easily myself and hubby helped me carry it upstairs to our grandchildren's room. Some struggled with the cover. I followed suggestions from others: Pull the cover to each corner. Then stand the box spring on its side leaning it against something. There is a little give in the material. I pulled each corner several times until the cover fit and zipped perfectly. It's a thick gorgeous cover. Thanks to others for these hints. This was a simple, inexpensive solution to finish the bed and room:)

Was apprehensive buying a box spring that came in pieces. No regrets. I’m a single female and I put it together myself. You’ll need a hammer and a butter knife. Yes a butter knife…. Read in another review that some of the bars don’t fit. They’re metal. Suggestion.. install the bars from the inside towards the outside. The last bars won’t fit, that’s where the butter knife comes in. Place the butter knife so the bars slide into the bracket. Some taps with the hammer and it works perfectly.

Well made and surprisingly sturdy (doesn't seem like it will be during assembly). Be sure to use a hard rubber mallet as a "persuader" and it will fit snugly in place (some complained about not being able to get everything lined up, or locked). Be advised that your mattress/frame will slide if you are sitting and leaning against a headboard or wall (ours' is on a standard metal frame). We have a heavy hope chest at the foot of the bed and after moving it closer, the problem was gone. All in all it's a nice product that does the job. We added sliding, under bed storage units. Gone is our eye sore box spring and under bed clutter.

Super simple to assemble. Just unfold the main section, attach the head and foot pieces then push in each of the cross section/ slats. Finally slip on the cover an you are done. Once assembled I noticed small gaps along the edges where the slat sit. I used a mallet to tap on the outer frame where each slat sits to close all gaps before putting on the cover. Assembled by myself in about 30 mins. The thing I love the most is that it does not squeak like the Zinus brand. This frame has nylon mounts where the slats are inserted so you don't get the metal on metal grinding when you move around on it or that wood rubbing together like on traditional box spring mattresses.

I recently purchased a home. The downfall to this home is that the basement and stairs going to the second level are kind of narrow with arched doorways and/or low ceilings. This meant none of our box springs fit up or down the stairs where we needed them for the bedrooms. I needed something that would come in a small box and could be assembled in the room it was going in.

The design to this is simple. My 10 year old put one of them together himself. I bought two queen size sets. You don't need any tools. I would recommend a hammer to tap the bars in for less labor on yourself. These are sturdy!

This should be a perfectly fine box spring but it’s always annoying to open the box and find broken pieces. There are red ends that snap parts of this together, and the corners of the red ends were all broken on arrival. Hopefully the rest of it is better quality. This is for my primary bed so by the time I found it I put it together anyways. There is support for this and they offer replacement parts, so I’m sure they would send those pieces but I’m not going to bother. It seems to be otherwise decent quality and easy to assemble.

I got a “refurbished” pre-owned model I guess. I knew something was wrong when the outside had obviously been opened and repackaged. When I opened the box, the plastic zip ties to keep parts together had already been cut. A small, bent sewing pin with a yellow plastic pinhead also fell out with the instruction booklet. Wth?
The metal frame itself is dark brown, the two ends are supposed to slide into the long side ends to connect them. The actual ends that connect are soldered and The soldered blobs painted brown. The ends on mine were seriously curved (they’re supposed to be straight) and had been re-soldered with silver solder (And a crap job at that). I hammered them straight enough to connect. I also needed to hammer the straight support bars in because the long side pieces were warped from whatever curved the ends. The cover was a bit of a struggle, but a breeze compared to having to hammer the thing straight. I figured I’d try to put it together rather than the hassle of repacking and having to schlep the thing somewhere to return it. It seems solid and is bigger than the frame but it doesn’t make any noise (yet).
Would I buy it again? No, I think I’ve finally learned not to trust Amazon. I can’t figure out what it would take to bend the metal ends as badly as they were, and the resoldering mess-seriously. Who decided this was okay to sell? Unbelieveable.
Would I recommend it? If you have tools and ingenuity, and have nothing better to do than fix Amazon’s resold reject garbage, sure. Otherwise, save yourself the hassle of trying to fix manufacturing screwups or having to ship it back. The theory behind it is great but obviously Amazon gets them manufactured someplace with no quality control.
