It's a fairly heavy pot. Nice heavy bottom. I drilled a hole in the side, put in an NPT fitting and ball valve, then surround the entire thing in insulation, and converted it to a mash-tun. For that purpose, it works quite well, except this being wider than tall is not as efficient as a taller narrower tun.
For cooking, it has a very gentle sloping curve along the bottom perimeter. That's nice for cooking but was a little annoying for an MLT. I might switch to my taller 15gallon which has a much sharper transition between floor and wall.
The lid is nice and heavy, but it doesn't fit that well. Oddly my 12 gallon pot lid fits this like a glove. I don't really care about that.
There is nothing magical about the layered bottom of this pot. I see a number of reviews getting scorching on the bottom. If you dump things which can scorch, like liquid malt, into a giant container on a burner, it will burn. Heavy bottoms distribute heat, they don't prevent burning.

ich war auf der Suche nach einem großen Topf zum Vorkochen größerer Mengen und zum Einkochen.
Dieser Topf machte gleich einen hochwertigen und stabilen Eindruck. Er steht fest auf dem Herd und auch der Deckel wackelt nicht. Er hat natürlich ein gewisses Gewicht, ist aber nicht zu schwer.
Die Größe ist auf jeden Fall für Großfamilien und riesige Mengen geeignet. Wenn man nicht wirklich große Portionen zubereiten möchte, ist der Topf zu groß.
Die Wärmeleitung ist absolut super, trotz der Größe des Topfes dauert es nicht übermäßig lange, bis der Inhalt kocht. Die Griffe heizen sich nicht mit auf und sind angenehm anzufassen.
Ich habe bis jetzt Kürbissuppe (8 Hokkaidos mit sämtlichen Zutaten) und Chili con Carne ( 2KG Fleisch, je 4 Dosen Mais+ Bohnen+ Tomaten, Zwiebeln, Tomatenmark,...) gekocht und war mit den Ergebnissen sehr zufrieden. Es blieb nichts am Topfboden kleben und der Topf lässt sich hinterher auch leicht reinigen.
Vor der ersten Benutzung sollte der Topf gut gereinigt werden, um Produktionsrückstände zu entfernen.
Ich würde ihn nicht in der Spülmaschine reinigen, sondern immer von Hand spülen.
Ich würde den Topf wieder kaufen und gebe eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
Der Topf sollte für Kohlköpfe Vorbereitung für Kohlrouladen sein, wofür er hervorragend geeignet ist.
Aber natürlich eignet er sich gut um anderes zur kochen, in größeren Mengen.
Von der Qualität wurde ich sagen sehr gut, wurde in Empfehlen.
Als der Topf dann da war, war ich sehr positiv überrascht. Super Qualität, macht einen sehr wertigen Eindruck. Super Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Zu Wärmeleistung bzw. Verteilung kann ich nichts sagen, ich benutze ihn als Sous Vide Topf.
