Very mild for Columbian blend, tastes like a lesser-quality coffee than expected for the price. Comparable to any big-box quality coffee. Nothing special. The aroma is amazing, but the flavor is certainly lacking.

I'm not coffee snob, but this is almost false advertising or just absolutely terrible quality control.

This is supposed to be a medium roast Colombian. But as you can see in the image attached, the beans are toasted beyond belief (amazon medium roast on top, standard alternative brand medium roast on bottom). Included in the image is the scale provided by Amazon and you will see its nowhere near medium. The beans themselves are extremely dry.

The amazon coffee is beyond dark roast and one of the harshest brews I've had in my french press. Virtually undrinkable. I feel scammed.

Amazon is to coffee as Starbucks is to.. coffee. If you like low-quality, burned coffee (not saying it's bad) then you will probably enjoy this coffee. Just don't expect to be able to identify the "Columbia" coffee origin because any trace of that was roasted away.

Mild and inoffensive. Could only be described as having lackluster notes of "coffee" flavor. Smelled fantastically fresh out of the package, but quickly deteriorated to a flat and anticlimactic aroma once ground. The beans were truly medium roast, not burnt to an oily black slick like SO many others out there. There was no "sizzle" to this coffee, no piquant, little regional twang to dance on the palate. This may be a personal preference, though, and that shouldn't detract you from sampling this very smooth, relatively fresh, and highly inexpensive coffee. Might be common sense, but DO opt for the $2.00 trial size that will possibly get you equal credit on your next AmazonFresh coffee purchase. DON'T buy the three-pack lot unless you KNOW this is the coffee for you, lest you get stuck with a month's worth of coffee that you're just not that into.

The coffee doesn't have a roast date on the package, but instead had the Best By Date listed (Roast Month + 1 year), still technically fresher and cheaper than my go-to roasted grocery store coffee. Should make a note here of potentially confusing phrasing on the product description that I excitedly misunderstood to mean that the coffee would be roasted fresh and sent out, in a "made-to-order" type fashion.

"FRESH IS BEST The fresher the beans, the more satisfying the cup. That’s why our coffees are packed soon after roasting with a one-way freshness valve designed to deliver a high-quality experience at its flavorful best."

Made to order was NOT the case. True, they package the coffee very SOON after roasting, but it will be sitting in a warehouse on a First In First Out basis until it makes it's way to you.

Highly Disappointed - Terrible Quality

I was very surprised at the poor quality of this. The beans were completely dried out and give you that cheap sawdust type of residue when you grind it. I went ahead and tried it - brewed a pot of coffee. It was mediocre at best, and bitter. I figured I got a bad batch (I bought the 3-12 oz bags) so I tried another bag. It was exactly the same. I don't know if this is the norm, but this stuff was unacceptable. I would expect to pay a fraction of the price I paid for coffee of this very poor quality. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED.

Let me start by saying, everyone's tastes are different. I like strong, bold coffee with a nice balanced flavor and low acidity. Others may prefer something else. This coffee reminds me of a few years ago when a relative (a non-coffee drinker) gave me a pound of Folger's. Yes, I suffered through it since I hate to waste anything, but the taste was bitter and just about what I expected from a low cost coffee. The taste of this is very similar. Not the "burned out" flavor of a Starbucks, just weak and bitter. The idea is great, the price is very attractive, but I would advise trying a smaller package of this first to see if you like it. Don't make my mistake and have to suffer through grinding 2 lbs....

I had high hopes that Amazon would make a quality house brand coffee because the price was certainly right. However, I was disappointed. The coffee was just OK, completely unspectacular, and ultimately not as good as my usual low-cost go-to: 8 o'clock coffee 100% Columbian. I will manage through the 3 bags in the purchase, but I won't get it again.

A great bag of beans at an extremely good price point. This coffee has become a staple at my family’s beach house because it’s bold enough for me and the boys but not too strong for Mom (she calls the strong stuff “dynamite”). So when nobody is looking, I secretly refill the Starbucks bags with these beans for those who like dynamite and grind it up to refill Mom’s can of Maxwell House. Nobody is ever the wiser.
