2011 from the Hip Hop artist. You pronounce his name Wah-Lay! Born the son of Nigerian immigrants and raised in our nation's capital (Washington D.C.), Wale was exposed to all sorts of music growing up that has helped to influence his unique sound. Twenty-six-year-old Wale Folarin first broke out and broke ground in 2005, appearing in the Source Magazine's "Unsigned Hype" column - the same column that launched the careers of the Notorious B.I.G., Common and Mobb Deep.

Lotus Flower Bomb
The great thing about Ambition, and Wale in general, is that every song is catchy on its own. Beats are great and songs are well written, but on top of just liking the sound if you actually LISTEN to a song you love it more. His word play is amazing, and each song says something about him and about how he sees the world. That's not something you see in most artists. I've never been so okay with spending money on an album as I do with this one.
My dude is not on that new world crap. Wale is that good rap sheeeee. I feel'um. And I'm not a big rap person but Wale is the one. ( he has a good song called "One." love it!
Great job wale you on point. Keep it coming. Listened to your cd per my granddaughter request. She love your music and I like it, not a big fan of rap I'm ole' school but you bring a different flavor. Lotus flower bomb was one of my favorites.
